Pelle Clement is a midfielder from Jong Ajax ,nothing very special just making up the numbers in the Jong Squad.

Who the hell is Clement? And what is going on with Muric? He came as a great talent and I can't see him ready to break into the 1st team

Pelle Clement is a right winger. They apparently discovered some special qualities in him and try to transform him into a defensive midfielder. Or, more likely, he's not good enough as a winger.

Isn't Muric injured a lot?

Currently playing Hamburg ,looks like I am on my own.I have a stream on cricfree.

1-0 to us at Ht, Milik with the third attempt at goal ie he shot , not sure who else then shot but came back to Milik who put it away.He was also knocked down in the box and should have got a penalty.

We are looking comfortable but then again its only a friendly.

A nice 3-1 win by us .Fischer scored the 2nd on 48 mins , good work from v d Beek ,who had replaced Sinkgraven at Ht .

The 3rd came from a shot by Younes which ended with Milik tapping it in. On 80 min they scored from a free kick the ball came back from the wall and a shot somehow got through. It was only those last 10 mins our defence was under pressure.

As well as v d Beek Cerny came on for 30 mins and then on 77 mins Nouri came on but was on the left wing.With Hamburg having more possession Nouri didn't get much chance to do anything but his appearance made the day for me.
Well 3x talented 18 year old kids playing I should say as that is Ajax.

Friendly today v AZ and we lost 3-1.(Played at de Toekomst behind closed doors) .Our goal was scored by Dolberg ,who played the 2nd half in place of the useless Sanogo. Cerny and Nouri both played the full game along with Dankerlui from our Jong .The remaining players are the fringe first teamers who did not play v Hamburg ( Schone and Sinkgraven like Cerny and Nouri appeared in both games)

The only 2 first teamers not to appear in either game are Klaassen ,who has an injured knee and is doubtful for Sunday v ADO , and Heitinga who is as good as retired.

The team have gone to China for a week where they will play a friendly .FDB's last duty as coach .18 players ,Milik Cerny both out as they have Int duty and Serero ,no reason.

We won 2-0, Veltman on 20, and 84 mins an OG Tete red card on 41.Evidently the Chinese were not a top side.

Both Rojadirecta and the Russian site listed a stream for this game (turned out to be the same stream -- the Ziggo one). I got to watch the 2nd half -- although we won 2-0, it was the same crap Ajax attack -- no one in the box to receive crosses or passes. Didn't see the first goal -- for the second, we surprised them off of a set piece -- otherwise, absolutely nothing. AMOF, it was the Liaoning team that easily had the more dangerous scoring chances. I was hoping for better, but Frank kept true to form -- ugh!

Off to Mayerhofen training tomorrow. Milik ,Serero (injured), v d Hoorn being sold and Andersen not there.Cassierra is to join them later as his papers are still to be completed.

Well, Half Time and 2-0 down!! It might only be a friendly, but surely SOME positive effort could be shown!!! No creativity, no attacking play, as promised, and a very weak, hesitant defence!!!

When a coach has had poor results from friendlies, that is usually a bad sign. It's too early to tell, but I have a bad feeling about this, I am wondering if Bosz will last till mid season.

Not encouraging, but It takes time for a coach to connect with the players and get to know their strengths and weaknesses. There is still a lot of possible movement on and off the team, so it will take time to cement the best starting 11 for the game Bosz wants us to play. Players are also not in form yet, cause it's still pre season and a friendly is always just a friendly. So, don't panic yet.

I see we're playing a derby tomorrow. Does anyone have any info on Amsterdam FC beyond that they are an older club than us and play at the third tier. Do they have much support? Are they from a certain region, social class etc in Amsterdam?

Yes they are the club of the richer people.
Also celebrities like Ruud Gullit who don't have a history at this club are now members of the club.

Their ground is at such an expensive part of Amsterdam that the local government would wish they could use that ground for another destination.

In the recent years they've done really well at the third level.

I just watched the second half of the friendly against AFC and it was a woeful performance. Match ended at 2-2. Schöne scored on a free kick and Murich on the only nice combination passing of the whole half. Viergever totally missed a header just inside midfield and gifted the AFC forward a free path to goal and Boer could not do much at all. Don't know anything about the first half but I have a sneaking suspicion we are in for a long season of heartbreak.

I too watched the 2nd half and poor football. Of the 4 defenders watching de Ligt it is hard to believe he is still 16. He will probably make his debut at some stage this season.

Looking good for CL prem rounds when friendly games have been cancelled!!! So they are going to "talk their way" into a good performance against POAK at the Arena....hope it's better than actually playing together as the word "together" has not featured...the only word with any evidence so far is "shambles"!!!!

Bloody local government in Nieuwleusen cancelled both games because they fear riots with the fans. Really a shame for the local people there at the countryside in the east part of The Netherlands, they were looking forward to the Ajax visit very much, prepared a lot of activities for it and sold thousands of tickets.

Later this week there another friendly is scheduled, but the games planned for today will be played at a secret location, anyway.

Belgian club (K)AA Gent is a risk factor, there have been problems with their fans in the past.
But not sure what the exact reason is, Ajax visiting another region of Holland can always cause controversy.

In the Dutch law system the mayor can always forbid things that are planned in his city or on his territory if he 'thinks that there are significant safety risks'.
