Gravesen closer to Real departure
By Dan Warren
Thomas Gravesen's agent says he expects the Real Madrid midfielder's future to be settled within the next seven days.
Agent John Sivebaek told BBC Sport Gravesen would seal a move soon, with England his preferred destination.
But he said he did not think a move for the 30-year-old would go through until Madrid returned from their tour of the USA, which ends on 12 August.
"Hopefully we can get things a bit closer over the next few days. A good guess would be a week," said Sivebaek.
There have been rumours that Gravesen is eager to leave the Bernabeu after failing to make an impact in the first team since arriving from Everton for £2.5m in January 2005.
Newcastle have been linked with a move for the Dane who played only seven times for Real last season and made just one appearance in the league.
His future was further thrown into doubt when he was involved in a training ground fight with team-mate Robinho on Real's pre-season tour of Austria - and Gravesen was then omitted from the Spanish team's squad for their US tour.
"He is not going with the team, I think that means there is a big possibility he is leaving," said Sivebaek.
"We need to sort out what price."
Sivebaek said Gravesen had enjoyed his time in England with Everton and that he would be happy to return to the Premiership.
But he stressed there had been interest from elsewhere.
"There is interest from Germany, Italy and Holland," he revealed .
"At the moment we are open to listening but, from what I have heard, it will be England hopefully."
Gravesen made more than 130 appearances for the Toffees during his successful five-season spell at Goodison Park.
