Gabri still injured. Almost ready to return, but the Utrecht game will come too early.
Oleguer: hamstring injury, out for about three weeks.
Sulejmani: hamstring injury, out for about eight weeks.
Aissati: knee injury succesful, out for about six weeks.

I think we should rest KJH, Suarez, Steks and Vertonghen. I would prefer starting line something like this:

Forget resting players. Not because I'm against same .Rather , Ajax 1 is so depleted that we've haven't the luxury. Not unless you want to blow off the Dutch Cup before Ajax has even kicked a ball.

We always seem to have so many injuries, and it's right at the start of the season. I take it Gentenaar injured his foot whilst kicking the wall (or MvB/Kenneth Vermeer)!!

Given that Kennedy and Rommedahl have not played any football since early august are they actually injured or just not picked???

We're playing pretty good - we just need a goal to settle us down a little. Enoh is looking pretty good in the middle.

Missed the match because of work. Was anyone injured???

In the end , a nice result. Our main threats came through in the clutch. Still don't understand the fascination with traumatizing the supporters by allowing KJH to take penos, but that's just me. Happy also for the clean sheet . Last, I'm ecstatic that Cvitanich finally earned more field time than an Ajax-USA tourist on an ArenA Tour. Provided we don't spit the bit v. Borac and barring a Lazarus like comeback from Aissati and Suleijmani, we will definitely need a contribution from him in the next six to eight weeks. The number of fixtures will necessitate it.

Might be to do with incident in first half - Suarez went past Utrecht player after tussle, and flicked him in balls with a crafty wee flick of the foot. Could be that as mentioned on tv here during game, at half time and after game it did look deliberate.

Can see the arses at KNVB taking retrospective action.

Apart from that Suarez was great tonight I thought, great goal and good set up for KJH.

Typical Uruguayan move. Those guys can be cheap. It's a shame, because he's a damn good player.
