Two more weeks of training and then it's for real: Willem II - Ajax (traditionally a fairly easy away game...), kick-off time 18:45 CET.

I am so looking forward to this season kicking off.

I am not sure if we will win anything this year, but I have hopes - real hopes - that we can witness something great building here.

Might not happen overnight, but I am looking forward to the future based on the backbone of this season.

Well I can hope right?

I know I'm moaning and whining right now but cmon I think all or most of us are sick of below par performances and shitty results.

I'd prefer a bad start and a good finish instead of what we were used to those last seasons (graafschap and domestic game 'till december last year, best start in a decade the season before...)

More than winning trophies what i want too see is breakout seasons for some of our young players...i want to see what players are going to lead us in the coming years....i for one dont expect a title...although you never know...i've been expecting a title for three years and have come out empty maybe this year it will be the other way around

Let's just get off the mark with a win....it doesn't matter how many goals the win's by...just a win will do. WillemII will play as they usually do...treating the match as a "do or die" cup tie.....3 points and no injuries will suffice!

Team news.

Gabri is recovering from an ankle injury (left ankle) and will not be available tonight. Evander Sno is likely to replace him as a defensive midfielder.

Marco van Basten has said that Vermaelen and Vertonghen have returned from China in a very good shape. They are fit and ready to start in Tilburg.

Sulejmani: was injured during a part of the pre-season campaugn, but now fit and ready for action.

Based on Friday's training it is expected that Urby Emanuelson and Rasmus Lindgren play from the start - and that Ismail Aissati and Dario Cvitanich will start on the bench.
