De grapshit should make good shooting practice...that way we can fine tune our finishing skills for the Slavia return leg.

My first ever eredivisie match and first Ajax match:

Players came out wearing black armbands and there was a moment of silence held before the start. Why? I have no idea.
Initially both teams seemed to be finding their footing. Surprisingly (for me) Ajax weren't playing their short passing game all that well and both teams were delivering decent long balls. Kennedy (?) on the right was the guy giving in decent balls but was not that great in short passing.
I was pleasantly surprised with some good tackles and good defending by Ajax.

Also Graafschap were good in making chances but terrible in finishing, if you may call it that. Atleast they didn't have ten men behind the ball. The refereeing was a bit poor in the begining as he gave a yellow to a Graafschap chap without even seeing the tackle but to be fair it was a late challenge.

In the last fifteen minutes Ajax really upped their game and KJH put in a good header but the best part was Suarez making his space and putting the ball in. Good play. Though it brings me to a point that both teams seem weak (or atleast Graafschap) in defending headers.

On to the second goal, Suarez got a pass on the left, made his way ahead a bit delivered to KJH who held the ball while Suarez ran forward and KJH kinda backheeled a pass to Suarez who put a good finish with the ball hitting the far post and going in. What a great goal! Hopefully Ajax maintain their game after the break. Good Show!

I've only got this on the radio but good to see that KJH and Suarez seem to be working well together. One goal and one assist each so far
