Look at it this way: the Heerenveen games were the first preliminary round of next season's Champions League, the AZ games are the second and a slot in the third is at stake. The Champions League, a football club's ritual dance around UEFA's pot of euros, has already started.
It's also the very last game of the 2006-2007 campaign - and one I will miss. I'm leaving for Cuba on Friday 25th. Would have been nice to be there, but I must say I'm not too bothered. I've had it with this season, I've had it with work, I've had it with everything; I need a break, sooner rather than later.

The game is probably at 6 am local time and you'll have the mother of all hangovers from all the Cuba Libres, but I don't give a fuck. No excuses!
Take your cell phone with you, tell someone in vak 127 to do the same, and turn the fucking volume up. I'll keep an ear aimed at the south side, and if I don't hear you scream and shout our boys to victory 'till your lungs are all over the carribean in bits and pieces I'll put all the blame of missing the CL on you, have your season ticket suspended, and make you burn eternally in the F-Word section of hell.

I can't figure out what Ajax is doing out there - where is the intensity? On the attack I see 5 defenders and three Ajax; on the defense I see 5 attackers and 3 Ajax - What is going on here?
