Still alive...
AZ usually smash teams like Excelsior  So even if we rack up a big score on Willem II it most probably won't be enough.Ayman schreef:Ajax are going to make it...dont worry, we dont need to rely on AZ, and Willem II are always there when we need them, they have the poorest defensive record..even poorer then den haag, and they dont get much worse then that
Edit: Fuck it ... let's be positive , things might just go our way next Sunday.

Yeah, and us to a 2-2 at the ArenA. The difference: PSV and Ajax played an Excelsior side that was fighting for survival. AZ, however, will play an Excelsior who are already sure to play relegation play-offs. Next weekend's game is totally irrelevant to Excelsior. They're already thinking about the play-offs.bluedaddy19 schreef:excelsior did hold psv to a 0-0 at home...
Our only hope is that AZ will get veeeeeery nervous... I'd say we have a 15% chance (and PSV a 5% chance, and AZ a 80% chance).

Still alive...
Excelsior held PSV. But, Ronald Koeman :pukey: coaches PSV! Still , 11 points down and floundering at one point to level on points at the top is better than I could've imagined. RK , why don't you take Alex off earlier next week? He looks tired. He could use a rest. As for AZ , all Ajax can do is control its own destiny. I'lll be feverishly checking my cellphone from Coachella next Sunday . HUP AJAX!!!!

Wouldn't our best bet be to feed the press that we know Exclesior won't be up for this one - they'll be looking to do big brothers Feyenoord a favour and roll over for AZ so that Ajax don't get the title etc etc.
These sort of mind games have worked for Alex Ferguson and co in England for years......

Either way we win...I look at it this way.
AZ win the league (read: P$V dont)
Ajax in the playoff (read: no one but AZ would beat us, we dont have to play them so we win the playoffs and into ECL).
:D
Seriously though. I hope we do get this one, but I wont mind too much if AZ win it. Its good for Dutch Football.

we're 6 goals behind AZ. We obviously need to beat W2, but win BIG. I mean big, like some big ass 6+ goal difference. All we can do is hope that Excelsior cause AZ problems (theyre probably going to play defensively). I'm not too concerned about PSV. Theyre not in goal scoring form and they may draw or win small against Vitesse.
Get a Cock
This club made a great mistake back in 2004/5 by backing muppet Koeman
and letting LvG go. What made it worse is that the muppet went a couple of months later.
Looking at AZ they are at the top and will win next week due to having a great coach. They are not great players and certainly not better than ours but their coach is in a different league to HTC and Koeman.
Still all we can do is win at Willem and hope that somehow Az's defending will be as bad as ours was v Excelsior.
We can all look back at the points dropped and the AZ goal but I think Ko was right (well he always is) when he said the RKC game would cost us the title as we could have then been masters of our own destiny.
Still as long as PSV do not win .

Yeah, but PSV could say the same about games they dropped points in, as could AZ. Utrecht - PSV is a good example. PSV had their own destiny but let it slip.SPL schreef:...

We can't look back...only forward ;)
Does it really mean that we can see the game in the ArenA without clubcard ?AT5 meldt dat Ajax komende zondag supporters in de gelegenheid stelt Willem II - Ajax op grote schermen te bekijken in de Amsterdam ArenA.
If yes, I'll go there, even though I don't have much hope...

Excelsior coach Ton Lockhof is a mate of HTC apparently...so I'm not surez that will work this time...SE6Ajacied schreef:Wouldn't our best bet be to feed the press that we know Exclesior won't be up for this one - they'll be looking to do big brothers Feyenoord a favour and roll over for AZ so that Ajax don't get the title etc etc.

Also...Mr Lockhof was sent to the stands last game (second time this season)...as a result the KNVB have decided to punish him by restricting him to the stands for the game with AZ also .... this doesn't help our cause ....

yes, Ko is absolutely right... and yet... being that the controversy directly favored AZ when we were outplaying them badly in their house with 10 men, it is IMPOSSIBLE to ignore
the sad fact is we should bemoan both things: that wegereef fucking us statistically hands the the title from us straight to AZ AND that we had a chance to correct the mistake ourselves but failed to do it
now, i only have 2% hope of a title
