I think this is the last friendly game during the training camp in De Lutte. If my information is correct Ajax will drive back to Amsterdam after this game, but I am not 100% sure.

15 minutes left to play and the score is 0-3 Ajax.
Goals were scored by Tom De Mul, Jaap Stam (his first as an Ajacied!) and Angelos Charisteas.
Line-up: Gentenaar; Boakye, Stam, Vertonghen, Emanuelson; Schilder, Manucharyan, Roger; De Mul, Charisteas, Perez. Substitutions I do not know.

0-6 Huntelaar
0-7 Huntelaar
0-8 Sarpong
That's the final score. Which is not at all bad against an Hoofdklasse side. Quite good, actually. Stay tuned to Ajax USA for the match report. Will be up a.s.a.p.

Two for The Hunter , one for The Angel, and more sweet music from "Bobby " Rydell Poepon. Nice result . Great to see our number 9's on the scoresheet X 5 . Add goals from Mauro Rosales and Tom de Mul and thats one productive front line.
Welcome to the scorers book Jaap.If he can do that on a few set pieces, it'll definitely be an added plus.
Good for Jeffrey Sarpong. Not sure if he'll find a place given the log jam in our MF,even if Perez is placed on the wing with Mitea out, but he seems to be tackling the challenge head on . I wouldn't be surprised if he is loaned out just to get playing time.
Nice result Ajax. :xyxthumbs:

On these training games ,I liked to see the youngs Verthogen and Schilder ,for me looks like they are very solid defenders .and Sarpong and Poepon .
I liked De Mul ,very fast and good crosses ,and scoring .
I liked Perez scoring 3 goals
And of COURSE Charisteas ,he is confident ,and will help us a LOT .

I didn't realize Thomas Vermaelen was back from injury until I saw Ko's fine match report . Great to see him back so soon.

Lets not hype up some of these players too much I mean, they need to be tested against stronger oppositions, Im talking about the likes of Charisteas. But hey I am still a little excited about the new season, esp. in the champions league with no Juve or AC Milan :eusa_dance:

I agree with not hyping the fact that we've had 12 different scorers so far or that our forwards are enjoying success . At the same time, you can only do the business, or not, v. who's lined out against you. And ,in matches like this, work on fitness and integrating all the parts of the side so they work well together. So far so good. :xyxthumbs:
But, to be sure, bigger tests, at least 5 in pre-season(Arsenal , Borussia Dortmund, Inter, ManUre, PSV) and two CL qualifiers remain. Is it just me , or is this pre-season more crowded than usual? It looks like a CL group of death.
After a schedule like that, matches against some of the lesser lights of the Eredivisie will probably seem like manna from heaven .
