Only one game in between (NAC at home) before Roda will get the chance to take revenge for their painful (and undeserved) Gatorade Cup knock-out at the Amsterdam ArenA. Roda vs Ajax at Parkstad Limburg Stadium in Kerkrade; Ajax won the last two editions, but this is normally a tough fixture (and a long drive)...

I am looking forward to this one, but for some reason I hardly realize how much is at stake. If we lose this one we are in serious, serious trouble, for the simple reason that play-off qualification will officially be out of our hands in that case (in other words: other teams such as Utrecht will have to lose).

The remaining games will be so important. No mistakes may be made.

Well anyways, I have reason to keep faith. At first we had problems up front, Huntelaar solved it. Now we have it at the back due to injuries and transfers. I'm sure a last gasp hero can save the day

A loss will have us put out a mortgage on the 'lucky ajax factor' in order to at least qualify for the play-offs. It might be the best way to prepare for them though. If the team feels that they are knocked out, and it turns out that they manage to qualify anyway, it may just give them enough boost to lift us over AZ and Feyenoord. Am I making sense here?

Yeah, that makes sense - you mean like Denmark in the '92 European Championships.........lets hope the rollercoaster ride isn't too long though......

I think you're making sense 'psychologically'. But do we want to take the risk...? I'd rather win, to be honest...

Yeah thats true. Surely anytime we play AZ and esp Feyenoord we should have enough "boost" to lift our game anyway. imo.

Just a side note. RKC's goal was scored after an assist from future ajax winger Krohn-Dehli who is returning to form after some injury woes.
