Mr Blind, totally out of his depth, should give over the reins to someone who can motivate the team. Yesterday's shambles was most humiliating, not just to Mr Blind, but to every Ajax supporter. I'll provide an air ticket for him if someone else wants to take over.

We had some good results playing 4-4-2. I know most people want the Ajax system, but as this clearly is a disaster at the moment, shouldn't we try 4-4-2 again?

I read the forwards played quite the last game, but maybe we could get some defensive help from the midfielders (I assume that wasn't that good last game?) with four of them instead of three. And Rosenberg/Charisteas obviously performed quite well together up front last time. I'm sure Huntelaar could do well in that formation too.

We need the points desperately. I don't care whether it's pretty or not.

With Rosenberg and Huntelar we have to complementary strikers up front. Sneyder and Linderberg could play central midfield, possibly the latter a bit more backwards to support the defense if necesarry.

however, juanfran jas had sunday's yellow removed, so he is available

No Heitinga is alright..but im really nervous about our game....I got a feeling that Blind will revert to a 4-4-2 formation...but im really scared...I mean how long has it been since Feyenoord did the double against us?

Agree, Rosenberg and Huntlelaar as attackers will do. Rosenberg and Charisteas would work as well, actually the bad trend started when Rosenberg and Charisteas did not play togheter as attackers in a 4-4-2 anymore.

it wouldn't surprise me, these are the kinds of games that players will motivate themselves to play well in, without any help from the manager

hmm (warming to theme). Another tactic would be to get 5 players sent off as quick as possible and we will only lose 3-0. That at least would make this "classic" memorable which I've a feeling it won't be :sad:

We should sign Piet Schrijvers on a 1 game contract. I doubt if there would be any way possible to squeeze a football between Piet's massive bulk and the goal frame. :D :headbang: :xyxthumbs:

Time for the real deal! But what can we can conclude from the last victory?

The defence: not good enough :eusa_pray:
Emanuelson: Just brilliant
Babel: mist a great, great chance, never the less he played ok and might be an alternative if Rosenberg takes Rosales place like in the end of the match. For the moment I still prefer Rosenberg and Rosales.
Rosales: Has a tendency to be invisible, he must take part more i the game. His goal was a gift.
Rosenberg: More and more shows that he can play in the linking-forward position, not just score there. Really good in first half, still has things to work with, but it is a new position and as long as he score as much as he do I think he is a man for the starting line up for sure.
Huntelaar:
Was not that good, lost everything in the air and looked quite pale. This can of course be explained by the support of midfield and their tendency to deliver the wrong balls in the wrong height. Anyway he scored and made an assist and that is so important. I am convinced that this game is the beginning of a new era where Charisteas and Rosenberg can do nothing to challange this man on this position. Charisteas will be bound to change team to be in the starting eleven, Rosenberg will have to play in a linking forward position.

I have a good feeling about this one. The game in Heerenveen should have brought some confidence to the team. A victory and we would be back on tracks a few days before the CL game against inter.
