Alright, peeps. First let's take care of Twente away; after that it's time for one good old grudge game...

So that means Utrecht have a better left winger than Ajax.
I'm rather concerned about this fixture. We have the better strikers , but with their wingers they have a a more balanced attack. I think Utrecht would stand a better chance of supplying Huntelaar with chances to score from. X'C

i think this game will be a bit more ''friendly'' than the match we lost in utrecht last year, since what happened since that day (di tomasso).
although i think we dont have to be afraid of ramzi and caluwe

I've always thought that Tom Caluwé is a very good player...

They'll have a super boost to go top 5 and give Di Tomasso's death something to remember. We gotta watch it.

I'm hoping we run into the side that played down to NAC at home in fortress (Nieuw) Galgenwaard. I agree about Caluwe` being a very good and useful player.

As expected, Wesley Sneijder will not be able to play on Sunday. He picked up a hamstring injury against Twente that looked quite bad, but - fortunately - is not as bad as it seemed. He will be out for two weeks. That's the good news. The bad news is that we play Utrecht (at home), Heerenveen (away, Gatorade Cup) and Feyenoord (away) in those two weeks, which is a different story than Heracles and RBC Roosendaal. But at least he'll be there for the Inter games.
Also: Zdenek Grygera will not be there. Suspended for one game due to accumulated yellow cards. Thomas Vermaelen will be fit again, though.

Whoever plays it will just be business as usual with FC Ugly kicking anything that doesn't look like a football. Lets hope that for once we have a strong ref.

I hope this time will be better than 1-0 for Utrecht, after a goal scored by ex-Ajacied Tiendalli... I wish 2-0 for Ajax :).

Good idea, but only if Ronald Kloeg is linesman. :D

Just posted this to the Vermaelen thread, too...
Amsterdam news network AT5 reports that Thomas Vermaelen is very unlikely to play against Utrecht on Sunday. The defender picked up an injury recently, had an MRI scan made at the hospital and it seemed like it was nothing serious. But the injury didn't go away, he had another MRI scan made at the hospital and it now seems like he will need a bit more time.
Hmmm. No Trabelsi, no Grygera, no Vermaelen. And no Escudé. Seems like we can prepare mentally for a Heitinga/Maduro defense, with God knows who (De Jong?) as a right fullback. Which is seriously bad news. It's going to be as leaky as f**k.

Does Fc Utrecht actually have anyone up front that we need to worry about?

Utrecht have a good right back to go forward in Dwight Tiandelli, I think he came from the Ajax youth ranks and they let him go, apparently he is going to Feyenoord at the end of the season. My back four would be...........
..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................Heitinga.......Maduro.........Lindenburgh.......Emanuelson.................

i think we need maduro in midfield, cause we are with no Sneijder...
I think a Jong should play in right back and Heitinga and Olaf in defense...

Maybe Robin Nelisse or another ex-Ajacied Dave van den Bergh?

Tiandelli left in summer of 2004 was a youth and did not get a contract. 18 months later he is a regular with the thugs and plays for Dutch U 21.Maybe we should be looking to get him back ???

I'm reading today that Huntelaar will play as a 10 and the attack will be: Rosenberg, Charisteas and Rosales. I still dont understand what the hell does Rosenberg do in the left, when we have Babel that could play there. I dont get why Charisteas is there and not huntelaar or rosenberg. I know this is just temporary until Sneijder gets back from his injury but putting players out of their positions never helps.
Lets hope the defense does well. Heitinga will surely play but Boakye and Schilder will probably play too, I hope they dont get too much pressure in this game. I trust this young players, I'm sure they will do well in the future but I'm worried about the timing. Ajax is through a crisis and now with this exodus of players we are facing bringing this young kids to play out of emergency is worrying.
