Obviously, if we want to stay in the race for the championship, this one must be won. Period.

PSV are looking back to their form, let's hope pressure from Aussie and Eindhoven effect Hiddink and his team in anyway

Don't get too excited. We're gonna get done.

Next Monday = crisis.

How is that different from 75% of the last year and a half? We've been in a perpetual state of crisis since we last won the Eredivisie.

Crisis would start sooner if the Swiss game ends with a bad result, but I can't see what could come out of this. Another chairman ? :X

The photograph of Danny Blind on Ajax.nl seems to show how much pressure he is under - either that or he had a cracking night out last night and is still feeling the effects.

It will only be a crisis if the club panics - we are looking for a long term fix.

The pressure should not be on Danny Blind, but on the board.
If there is one more crisis, we'll have to make sure they don't away with it by firing the coach. Enough is enough.
But things are not so bad yet. :hypocrite:

One problem is the amount of players in their last season of contract.Yes I know I keep on about this but it is the biggest potential crisis in the club.

Trabelsi, de Jong, Galasek, Pienaar, not forgeting Vonk, Boukhari and Anastasiou. It could well be that all of them will be at new clubs next summer and even this winter. How can a coach plan when half the team could be disappearing soon. Are their minds on the game or on a contarct somewhere else?? One would hope their minds are fully focused.

Do any of you think the above is a problem ??

Hmm, I fear that you are right, especially after AZ were blown away 3-0 at the weekend.

Idea - perhaps we could try and get the Mayors Office to cancel this one till later in the season :X .

Or hope for snow on the roof?

I'm sticking with OPH, it's no crisis until we deem it one ourselves. I'll settle for third spot this season if that means getting together a real team for seasons to come.

I dont think its a problem. If they want to move clubs, then they would want to impress other 'bigger' clubs with their display on the pitch for ajax. The other point is that most of the players you mentioned like Boukhari, Anastasiou and Vonk, they are average. Pienaar isnt as good as he thinks he i, he may have a tenacious approach but has no end product, Galasek is at the wrong end of his 30's, Trabelsi has no respect for Ajax as a football club, according to his interview last year on Dubai sport. Only one left is de Jong, and he is worthy of a contract.

We'll thrash PSV, then lose to Heerenveen next week, or NEC the week after.

p$v will probably have a hard time in this evening's CL game, and that could be good for us

They drew, which is rather satisfying.

That's actually a really good result for them I think. I'd certainly be happy with 0-0 away to Milan...matches what we achieved in Prague and Milan are a better team by far than Sparta.

it's amazing to see how many goal chances were wasted by ac Milan yesterday ;)
we will not do the same :eusa_pray:
but since Galasek does seem in great shape, my prediction will be a 2-2 score

psv - Ajax:
psv wins - 50%.
Draw - 40%.
Ajax wins - 10%.

I don't see us score, but I do see Koné score....

I can't see Rosenberg on any of the recent pictures on www.ajax.nl (training). And what about Charisteas : will he be soon back from injury ?

i will be at the game, hoping for a new league result (i am 2-2 in AJAX-PSV matches so far)

believe it or not, i think we can sneak out with a win sunday - i feel they may be a little worn out mentally, and i feel we can have success if our midfield wins the day

Here's to hoping you go 3-2. :xyxthumbs:

A win would be nice, to create some momentum in addition to the Thun game. Of course a win against psv is always nice!

Psv got a lot more then they deserved in Milan, last wednesday. Hopefully they will be paying off their debt to fortune this weekend bij handing us the 3 league points that are at stake. I do hope Blind figures out a sound tactical plan to realise this. Perhaps a 442?

I can see the midfield being 99% factor of this game. Blind will have to choose wise midfielders imo, as PSV are looking good in their midfield with Cocu tbh.
