fingers crossed for a win on this one...just glad its at home. away at Roda is always difficult for Ajax. as my dad keeps reminding me (him being a Roda supporter and all).

The way ajax's season is going, I for one am glad the KNVB decided to have 2-6 play off for 2nd spot this season!

I hope to see real wingers and babel upfront and pienaar in midfield....but ofcourse that wont happen

Not a bad lineup at all but i doubt it, maybe if Mitea were fit he could be on the left, Blind already said that Boukhari will not play as a left winger(too slow).This lineup would give Harry and Rosenberg a wake up call witch they desperately need.

Let's not forget we play ADO Den Haag first, by the way...

I agree, Charisteas sucks, Rosenberg plays like an old lady and Babel should play as striker or atleast give him a chance BUT he wont be wont end up as the mesiah who saves Ajax from the dark times that seem to be ahead at the moment. He might at another point in time become the person that guides Ajax to great heights but its way to early for that i think.

anyway, transfer market is locked up so we have to do what we got.
*&^#* Blind with his statements before the season that we didnt need more reinforcements. Dont know if it no money was made available for transfers that made him talk like that but sure as hell I dont hope that it was because he thought our selection was good enough overall to do well in Europe and to easily win games in the Dutch league

Heitinga has been suspended for one game (the normal suspension for a double yellow). Grygera is still injured and will miss the Roda game (he's expected to be fit for Tuesday, though) and Lindenbergh is also suspended.

Vonk; Trabelsi, Maduro, Escudé, Emanuelson; Galásek, Pienaar, Sneijder; Rosales, Charisteas, Babel...?

The problem with the above line-up is that we don't have a real man-marker in central defense. What about Vermaelen...? And what about Juanfran? Will this be his début game?

Also, I would be in favour of benching both Charisteas and Rosenberg, play Babel as a striker and put Manucharyan (or possibly Boukhari) on the left wing (yes, you're right, OPH, you're absolutely right... but we need to improvise a little bit for this match).

I'm all for Manucharyan, play him and lets see what the Armenian legend has to show. Just make sure to give Rosenberg some playing time, we want to wake him up not destroy his confidence.
