Ajax are home to Fortuna this Saturday as they face three more matches before getting some time off because of the International break. Fortuna sit at the bottom of the table with only two draws to their record. The word on Antony is that the injury did not appear to serious but he can be rested for the upcoming match against FC Mityjland if necessary. I would also start Martinez in the back line and give him a full 90 minutes.

Huntelaar and Antony trained on Friday but there is no word on their availability for the match.

Martinez for Tagliafico ,Ekkelenkamp starts and up front Antony,Traore Neres.

Fortuna have a lot of players behind the ball and blocking up the middle. Ajax is trying to move the ball quickly but haven’t really broken them down regularly so far.

Two quick goals at the end of the game. Promes scores from the spot and then Cox scores his second. Good game by Klaassen and Neres looking better. Ajax had 9 shots on goal versus 7 for Fortuna.

Not the easiest of wins ,good that Brobbey scored on debut and a nice touch by Tadic in letting Promes take the last penalty.He has been out of form and a goal will do his confidence good.

On that opening goal our defence looked slow and I still have doubts about Schuurs.

Disappointing defending and this type of play would get really punished in the Champions League. The scoreline flattered Ajax on the day. Three penalty calls against Fortuna certainly helped Ajax who had the major share of possession in the game.

Ekkelenkamp (5) - had two good chances to score and fluffed the chance each time
Antony (6.5) - had some good passes and good to see that he was not injured against Atalanta
Traore (7) - pretty good match in tight spaces
Neres (7) - unlucky not to have scored
Promes (7) - good half of football and cool with the penalty kick
Brobbey (6) - in the right place and made sure of the goal in his first performance
Klaiber (6) - on for Mazraoui
Tadic (6) - good play coming on for the final 20 minutes
Martinez (NR) - on late
