Still atop the Eredivisie over AZ by three point, Ajax travel to Utrecht on Sunday for what is often a tricky fixture. AZ host Feyenoord who seem to be winning matches these days. Lots of injuries for Ajax with Promes sidelined for a good period with a hamstring problem. Veltman has a knee injury and Babel a muscle bruise. Neres is still out following knee surgery last year and no word on when Ziyech will be ready.

Talk of Ziyech maybe playing this match and even Babel may be fit. Pereira and Unuvar both had good games last night as wide players so maybe subs .

PS Never known Ajax have so many injuries at one time. However these now all take a back seat for me as my son has broken his tibia last night playing 6 a side footy.

Thanks Orange 14. He had an op yesterday they put a metal rod in the tibia.He is temporary back home with Mum looking after him. He is a sports teacher and thinks he will be back at work after Easter.

Hopefully Ajax injuries will clear up a lot quicker.

Better news on the injury front. Daley Blind has been training with the first team and may be on the bench this Sunday. Ziyech and Labyad both are back in training but not match fit.

Blind back on the bench truly is great news for the team. If he get a few minutes against Utrecht and then gets to play against either Vitesse (Cup) or RKC, he might even be able to play against Getafe.

With Blind at LCB, Martinez can move up to DM, with Eiting and Van De Beek next to him. We might still have a shot.

There is a hugh storm on the way and this game may be postponed.Decision on Sunday at 8.00 . Would be good if it was off given our injury position.

PS Great news that Blind is fit again.

Match has been cancelled. This is probably the best thing which could've happened. Lets the kids rest for a few more days and gives Blind another few days to recover.
