With almost 1/3 of the league season approaching, Ajax host Waalwijk this Saturday and then entertain Chelsea in the Champions League group match. Waalwijk gained promotion via the playoffs this past spring.

Outpassed, outshot, outtackled, out hustled. Lucky not to be down by 3 at the half. Has to rank as one of the worst halves of football I've seen in a long time.

quite right. One would not believe that Waalwijk are bottom of the table team.

Not a very inspiring 1st half from Ajax and the best chances fell to RKC. They are not playing like a team bottom of the table.

Well that was horrible. No one played well but Martínez and Dest were particularly poor today.

Lucky win as we were very poor.RKC were unlucky not to get a point. Play like that v Chelsea and we will get thrashed.

Props to Waalwijk for coming out and playing hard. By all rights they should have taken all three points having at least 4-5 clear chances to score. Ajax were just terrible and this team cannot overlook any team in the league. Don't worry about CL football those matches will come up and be dealt with in time. The defense seemed ill-organized through out and has to be much better this week against Chelsea.

Ziyech (5) - one decent shot and several poor crosses
Huntelaar (5) - average
Tadic (5.5) - nice goal and some decent passing but nothing more
Schuurs (4) - beaten several times
Neres (5) - not much of a threat
Alvarez (NR) - on to add some defense but not sure it worked.

Chelsea at home in the CL and if they play like this it won't be pretty
