A trip to the Galicia region of Spain (an area that I would really like to visit one of these days) for a match with Celta. Ajax are top of the table and a draw against a tough club away would be a decent results. Celta have some very good players including our old nemesis John Giudetta who had a spell on loan at Feyenoord. Celta were thrashed 5-0 by Villareal over the weekend but defeated Barca in their previous La Liga match.

This should be a good prep for the Klassiker coming up in Rotterdam on Sunday.

I just wish Bosz would play it safe and play Tete and Viergever at the wing back positions. Also play Veltman and Sanchez in the middle of the defense. I don't understand why Schone is playing in midfield.

Can't see Bazoer pulling that kind of a pass of his hat. I know we might be forced to pull back in to a more defensive mode when playing Celta away and Shcönes strengths are not in defending and fighting for loose balls in midfield, that is true, but at the same time we can't just sit back and defend anyway, cause that is not our speciality and we know our defense won't hold for 90 minutes, if we give the initiative to Celta. We need players like Shcöne to hold the ball and pass it forward so we can have some periods inside the game were we control possession and and give our defenders a breather and get chances to score.

I know we have Ziyech for that creative role, but if we solely rely on him, it will be easier for celta to take him out of the picture with tight marking on him. Hmm, Not an easy puzzle our midfield.

Tete and Viergever as full backs agreed but Schone should stay,he has added to our creativity.The pass for Klaassen's goal would never have come from Bazoer Riedewald or Gudelj.

Our midfield is still a puzzle and I can see Bosz going for Gudelj for this game .I would be happy with a draw

Schone and Tete are injured and won't be flying to Vigo with the team. I hope we have Riedewald replace Schone and not Gudelj. Lets wait and watch.

All our talk about Tete and Schone playing and we find they are injured.Riedewald for Schone and Dijks LB and not Sinkgraven for this game.

Isn't Ziyech suspended? Which match did he get the two yellows in? I'm confused as usual...

Zieyech served his suspension last game.

Boer has a slight wrist injury and we have called up Van Bladeren. He had a long injury this year and has not yet played this season. We have not registered the other Jong goalies Alblas and Leeuwenbugh so with Krul still not match fit we take a 19 year old who is not match fit!!

Gudelj instead of Riedewald

Gudelj for Schone the only change but Boer is fit for sub. We took 19 men but with only 7 subs 1 misses out and its Donny.

I had a premonition as they were lining up -- never really expected we would keep them without a goal, though.

Good work undone. Stupid place for a foul like that too. Conceding a lot from set pieces this season...

What's going on with the turf? They're slipping and sliding around like they were on ice.

Pretty even so far. Both teams dominated a long spell without making a lot of danger.

Except for the goal it was an awful first half. Terrible on the ball and the defending on the Celta goal was poor. I think Sanchez missed the clearance on the goal. Midfielders including Ziyech have all been poor. Traore is a non-factor and Dolberg cannot hold the ball at all. We are also committing some reckless fouls and I won't be surprised if someone gets sent off.
