Finally get an early Sunday home game this weekend against Utrecht who have cause Ajax problems in past years. After that it's a week off for the international break and WC qualifying matches for the Dutch NT. It's hard to see anyone from the current team seeing action in those games against Belarus and France.

Missed most of the last weeks' games but it seems like play is improving since the midfield was changed up. Just watched the Liège highlights, looked like Ajax dominated and could've scored more goals. Liège had a couple of long distance shots towards the end but that was all (in the highlights).

I'm going to the ArenA for this one, I think 4–1 for Ajax with two for Kasper "Goal mountain" (his name says it all) and one each for Traoré and Ziyech. Utrecht to score off a free kick.

At last a game scheduled for a time that I can watch -- had to miss the last several due to a 2 or 3 AM start (in my time zone). After the big wins in the last games, I hope I won't be disappointed in this one.

Only change from Liege is Ziyech for Gudelj. Utrecht always seem to beat us ,whats the betting Zivkovic scores .

Agreed. That reminded me a little of that amazing F De Boer tackle on Ronaldo in the WC.

What an awful, disgusting, terrible (I'm running out of adjectives now) game of football. Everyone other than Traore is just standing around watching things go by. Poor touches by everyone. Poor positioning all over the field. Particularly bad were Sinkgraven and Klaassen. The time has to come to sit Klaassen, he adds nothing to the team other than an occasional goal. Nothing good about this one.

Dolberg's 1st touch has been really bad. MF not doing much. Still think we'll win

Like too often our possession isn't turning in to good enough chances. Their keeper did have two great saves. One against Younes and the free kick from Zieych (who didn't really seem to get going in the first 45. Hope he finds a bigger gear in the second half).

Poor football by Ajax ,I know Tom is in the arena but I go along with Orange. Take Sinkgraven off he cannot defend is no LB . Cannot think of a positive.MF still the problem Ziyech doing little .Tete Riedewald along with Sanchez are the best defenders in the squad.

I have a feeling that Utrecht aren't going to finish the game with 11 players

No, it's 5 or 6; I can't remember which one.

The passing accuracy has been poor, and we don't seem to have a real plan of attack - more like try to get the ball forward in whatever haphazard way possible and hope something will come of it. But the most disturbing aspect, to me, is that Utrecht is getting there first to every loose ball so we have absolutely no control over the game. We'll be lucky to even get a 1-1 tie if we don't change this.

Game started at 6:30 in the morning and I'm not being put to sleep like in the De Boer years De Boer has set really low expectations which might take a year or so to go away.
