Would love to see Nouri de Jong Cerny start.They would be more creative than Gudelj, Klaassen and Traore . Tete and Sanchez are better defenders than Veltman and de Ligt should be Cd and not Westermann, Riedewald or Viergever LB .

Should be a fun match tomorrow. Hope to find a good stream!!!!!

All young talents, including Nouri, have been selected in the squad.

It would be great to see the young talents in action in the first team tonight. Also I would like to see Ziyech in midfield. With Klaassen and Gudelj rested we are bound to see a different approach to our midfield. Interesting.

This is the squad for tonight. It is also the very first official football match where we will use a video referee.

Dutch Newspaper de Telegraaf predicts this is the line-up:

Boer; Tete, Westermann, De Ligt, Sinkgraven; Bazoer, Schöne, Ziyech; El Ghazi, Dolberg, Cassierra.

Would be really great if youngster Matthijs de Ligt will be in the line-up. Central striker Dolberg and also Cassierra deserve playing time from the start too!

Maybe Sinkgraven can reinvent himself as a dynamic LB in the mold of Artur Numan!!

When I saw de Ligt make his Jong Ajax debut last month he looked alot better than Westermann ,will be interesting to see him tonight .I predict next season Sanchez and de Ligt will be our CD .

I feel really sorry for Sinkgraven. He is wasting his life with us. Never gonna play in his prefered position and now a LEFT BACK???

Infinitely better movement today with these players. You could argue that Willem aren't a threat today as they were in the league match, but still. We move the ball all around and smoothly

Enjoying watching this Ajax,lovely goal by Bazoer and great to see de Ligt score on his debut.

Even though I have a pretty poor stream, it was fun watching these guys play. Great strike by Bazoer and nice to see de Ligt get the goal on the free kick. Willem II hardly look threatening at all.

A very good first half moving the ball around quickly and getting it up field. Need a 3rd by the hour then get Nouri on .

I guess Schone is officially out of contention for a starting place. Or even on the bench.Very slow, trying to hold on the ball almost committing a foul and looking like a shadow of the player he was a couple of years ago

73 mins and finally one of the most anticipated debuts for a very long time . The little fellow was quiet but burst through got a free kick and nice that Schone let him take the free kick which he scored from .

A very good performance from Ajax and playing good football ,quick passing and getting the ball moving up field. Ziyech played decent and glad he scored a goal.Schone is slowing down but shows he can still put away a free kick.

De Ligt was very comfortable on the ball and what a debut for a kid just 17. Bazoer worked hard so did Tete both must return to the first team .

An easy cup win over a 10 man Willem II. All three of the kids got a run out in the game with both Nouri and de Ligt scoring their first goals. Much better ball movement during the game and other than one chance late in the 2nd half, Boer's goal was never really threatened. Let's hope that some of those who were not chosen for the first team watched this match carefully as this is how the club needs to play.

Player Ratings:

Boer (6.5) - never really bothered in goal
Sinkgraven (6.5) - really fell asleep and didn't cover his man in the 2nd half conceding the only true chance of the match for Willem II, otherwise a job well done
Westermann (7) - rock solid and nicely cleared the only true shot off the line
de Ligt (7) - poor footwork on a couple of occasions but recovered nicely; got a good goal on the set play
Tete (7) - glad to see him back in the lineup as he closes down all attacks down the left side
Schöne (7) - yes, he is slow these days but nobody reads the game better, nice free kick for a goal
Bazoer (7) - hope this gives him some confidence now, still needs to work on his ball quickness
Ziyech (7) - some nice passes that were too good for some of the players on the pitch
Cassiera (6.5) - probably should have finished off a couple of the chances better than he did
Dolberg (6) - wasn't much of a factor
AeG7 (5.5) - a chance to prove himself but only came up a shade above average
Cerny (6) - some good runs
Nouri (6.5) - on later than many of us would have liked but did what he can do with magic
de Jong (5.5) - played the final 8 minutes and had a couple of chances

Back to the league for the weekend against visitors PEC Zwolle. I wonder what the lineup will be.

El Ghazi has some self confidence issues. I believe that if he scores a couple of goals, things will improve for him. I really want him to succeed, but he needs to be smart and let go of his frustration.

Ugh - completely missed the match. But sounds like Bosz is going to have to make some difficult choices this weekend.
