Right back? I don't think he's ever played this position in his life and he's left footed. Didn't you mean to put Veltman at RB? Wouldn't mind seeing Schöne in the midfield, he at least has some sense of the field unlike all the other midfielders on this team.

So you're suggesting swapping Schöne for Gudelj, that would be fine with me. I would also like to see Milik on the bench and Fischer and el Ghazi up front, with Sinkgraven at LMF and Schöne on the right...

Feyenoord won their cup match yesterday beating Roda 0-1 and they played a 5-3-2 formation. I suspect we will see this on Sunday and it will amaze me if Ajax get more than a couple of shots on goal. I'm pretty pessimistic these days and expect a 0-0 result.

I expect a 1-2 defeat in this game. Dirk Kuyt scoring the winner.

Feyenoord maybe has a stronger squad but all in all it's two poor teams so it could go either way. Fairly sure we will see defensive tactics again from FdB so if Feyenoord come out to defend too it could be another dull game.

If Ajax lose to Feyenoord on Sunday should FdB be sacked or do the honorable thing and resign?

I'm expecting 3-1 for Ajax. With one / penalty.

Hope we can win but if we do lose FDB should resign.

A win for Feyenoord on the field is a win for Ajax off the field.

P.S. Why do people say Fword instead of Feyenoord? Is it a sin as an Ajax fan to say the name of their bitter rivals?

So Veltman as right back, Schöne as a winger and El ghazi as the lone striker I suppose. I'd rather see Schöne in midfield and put Fischer or the kid Cerny on the wing. Midfield does seem a bit slow, but who or not these guys. Haven't gotten a clear picture of van de Beek. Should he have a go?

Morning all,lets hope for a win but its going to be a tough match for us. Not surprised Veltman is RB for this game and v d Hoorn playing.FWord are tough and will play dirty .Schone hasn't had much play recently but his experience I guess could count in a game like this.

Now, that was a nice goal -- beautiful crossfield pass to start it off.

Haha exactly what I was thinking of. The three in midfield dont join in either so we are at disadvantage in attack and defense.

But when you perform actions with a purpose in mind, we end up scoring a goal.

Finally some passion from this side. Decent enough first half in terms of ball movement. Gudelj (I think, but need to see the replay again) was at fault for the goal. He had a chance to make a challenge but just stuck in a lame foot that did nothing. Really nice goal from Younes, as good a one as we will see all season in terms of controlling the ball and I think beat three men to get the shot off. van der Hoorn lost his footing in the box and Vilhena got in a nice shot that was deftly saved by Cillessen.

Ajax need to keep up the pressure in the second half!

Well nothing boring about that half. Poor defending for their goal, could blame Viergever not winning the ball but he had only just come on and after all both Roda goals last week were due to Riedewald not picking up the player who scored.Those were far worse defending than today.

Fine goal by Younes but apart from El Ghazi's chance when Vermeer took the ball off him,we dont look like scoring.

Exciting half at least. The only danger we created came off counter attacks. The wings are basically useless again, I know that's where the goal came from but it was a cut inside rather than a cross.
