After the disappointing exit from Europe, Ajax travel to Utrecht for a match on Sunday. Will they get over their Molde blues and score some goals? Will they play with positive intent or be content for another boring match of endless back and lateral passes?

Tete back and Viergever dropped. Heits not picked ,Sinkgraven injured, Sanogo who cares(,think he was ill earlier in the week )

I think the club is paying Heitinga €1M a year not to play. Heitinga says he want to finish his career with Ajax! What a waste of money. Who makes these decisions?

Well a tough game awaits as our record in Utrecht under de Boer has been poor. We are playing 3-4-3 today with just
Tete,Veltman,Ridewald as defence,Gudelj,Klaassen,Bazoer,Serero MF, with El Ghazi,Milik Younes up front.Interesting.

Pleased to say its back to normal with Sky today on red button.

Wouldn't mind knowing how many crosses have been made this season, and how many times one of our players has actually been on the end of one...

Most boring 45 mins of football all season.3-4-3 not working Dijks needs to replace Serero who is being asked to play out on the left. Younes looks good on the ball but not sure we have had any chances.

32 minutes without a shot on goal followed by a flurry that lasted all of 40 seconds or so. This was really bad football. Lots of cross field passing, the same as against Molde on Thursday with equal result. Club will be lucky to get out of Utrecht with a nil-nil draw. I don't mind a three back option but you need to have some wing backs the way Juventus run things. Unfortunately, neither Serero or Bazoer can play that way. Is there a goal in this match?

I was thinking this looks like it will end up a 0-0 draw, too, but how many times have we seen this kind of game where - out of nothing all day - the other team gets a lucky goal (usually at the very end), and we wind up losing. I'm hoping for the best, but....

Bazoer is really starting to annoy me. Every single time that he gets the ball he turns back from the direction of the attack and goes sideways or backward.-- every single time -- all game long.

As I said in my post above... A truly well-deserved loss.

Well we deserved to lose and de Boer's tactics were so poor and bad that had there been any Ajax fans they would show the white hankies.

If that is de Boer's idea of how Ajax should play ,he should sod off now. I have done with this inept coach.That performance was not worthy of our club and it was all deBoers fault . Sod off to Swansea

Well deserved 1-0 loss to Utrecht today. FdB got the tactics completely wrong and stubbornly refused to do anything about it. If the Ajax management had any spine at all, FdB would be sacked because of the European and league performance so far this year. Sure they will stay in first place because of goal differential if Feyenoord win but this is just unacceptable football by any measure. You don't play a three man back line without wingbacks and putting two midfielders in those positions was a recipe for failure. Neither Serero or Bazoer did anything to show that they could adapt to the situation.

Why is it that this team cannot recognize potential double teams? They are too slow on the ball and with little or no movement into open spaces there is no opportunity to create chances on goal. This might be OK if there were players who could see how to counter attack but that's also totally absent.

With the wasted money on transfers and the Sanogo loan I'm sure that the management will be reluctant to buy out FdB's contract. We will see lifeless football the rest of this season and this club deserves to finish back in the pack.

Player Ratings:

FdB (0) - got it wrong from the get go and continued to see it out, wrong formation and tactics

Cillessen (6) - made a couple of good saves and had no chance on Ayoub's goal
Riedewald (5) - did OK playing on the left side of a three man defense and had one nice run up the field
Veltman (5) - OK on defense but too many wasted over the top passes
Tete (5) - decent enough on defense but had no clue what to do with the ball when he was in the offensive half
Gudelj (4.5) - semi-good today but gave up the ball cheaply a couple of times
Klaassen (4) - this guy is the captain of the squad? totally MIA
Serero (3.5) - totally lost at sea in this match
Bazoer (3.5) - maybe not all his fault but had no clue about what was going on
Younes (5) - average shift in the first half before being subbed off
Milik (4) - needed service, didn't get it, cannot play without someone providing help up front
el Ghazi (3.5) - had the one hard shot on goal but right at the keeper
Fischer (4) - did little at all
Schöne (5) - OK coming on late
van de Beek (5) - had a couple of good passes and right now he's better than any of the other MFs

This is just disgusting and cannot be allowed to stand. Ajax Board members, DO THE RIGHT THING; SACK de Boer!!!!!!

just google translated all the dutch guys comments ,they are all angry at anti football by our club.

5 years ago when we were playing rubbish footy like today,and like we have played in Europe Cruijff got Jol sacked ,lets hope the great man can get de Boer and Overmars out.

They may have counted some wayward crosses as shots on goal!

Still think we have nothing to lose than include Nouri, we need a midfielder who creates ,Serero is limited so is Gudelj ,neither are good enough for Ajax.Bazoer has struggled since his injury and was out of position today but woeful .

I refuse to believe v d Beek and Nouri both playing 90 mins today would be worse .Over the last 2 weeks v dBeek has been our best midfielder ,Nouri we keep being told is small,but so is Serero and Nouri has vastly more talent and actually creates .Also play Cerny. Today we could have played Cerny Sierhuis and Dekker upfront and v d Beek and Nouri in MF and I believe the football would have been better and they probably would have created more.


nb. Dekker is a talented proper winger who can cross a ball and Sierhuis at 17 ,with no contract scores goals regularly in our A1 . Dolberg is the main A1 striker but injured. The youth players could not be worse than the muppets we used upfront and in midfield today.

Think I need to go for a cycle I am far too angry at present . Maybe Groningen will win today they were 1-0 up last I saw.

An entertaining game too... Seems like I'm enjoying our competitors' games much more than watching Ajax at the moment.

It's amazing to read FdB's remarks after losses. He blames everyone except for himself. He said that the match today was a game of chess. It was only because he doesn't prepare his team to win. How can this behavior be tolerated.

Well back from a 10k cycle ,but still pissed off even if Fword did drop points.I watched 10 mins of their game at 1-1 with 10 men they were looking for goals.

We will probably still win the title,Fword only need Kuyt to get an injury and they will slip up and PSV just need de Jong to get injured but they are also dropping points v poor sides.


I really do hope the fans wave white hankies next week.

No matter which way you people look at it. Frank de Boer has to go. Ron Jans must be sworn in.
