Ajax need to take all three points to have any chance of staying in Europe. el Ghazi and Bazoer are still out because of injuries. I think this will end up in a draw.

4 players out ,El Ghazi ,Bazoer and Sinkgraven with Serero now injured. Sinkgraven is out until January having had a minor knee op.

A squad of 20 is going with the remaining 17 fit first teamers plus Donny v d Beek , Cerny and Onana .Onana is only going for the experience so he plus a defender will drop out leaving the 2 x 18 year olds in the final 18.

PS. But for injuries v d Beek and Cerny would have been playing for our U19 youths v Sparta Moscow in the U19 CL.

Onana cannot drop out as he is the back up keeper, correct?

No Boer is fit and no 2. Onana thus going along for experience

It's a late starting game tonight and it's also our American Thanksgiving holiday. I'm the main cook here and don't know how much of the match I'll be able to watch. It is being carried live on Fox sports which is a plus. It's very likely that there won't be any player ratings until tomorrow if at all. Hope Ajax can prevail but suspect it will be a joyless, goalless draw.

Just seen Veltman is ill so wont play and as expected Onana is not in the 18.Would like to see Donny v d Beek start although he should have been a sub last week v Cambuur and come on instead of Heits.

Nb Cricfree has many streams and as its on BT Tv in Uk there is a BT stream on cricfree.Hope it works tonight.

So v d Hoorn instead of Veltman and Schone in MF with Klaassen and Gudelj. Fischer Milik and Younes up front .

This is why van der Hoorn is totally useless as a central defender. He should be sold ASAP but not sure he has any value.

Really bad call by the linesman. Younes was on side and Fischer denied a legal goal!

well we can still win this ,neither side look very good ,our passing could be better.Just worry v dHoorn is there as our defence looks weaker without Veltman.

so-so first half. Younes played well. Klaassen's touch is really bad, he had a couple of chances to get a break going but failed each time. Should be 2-1 but we got a bad call. I agree with SPL that there is a chance to win this as Celtic are not any better than we are. Still think van der Hoorn has another screw up in him.

Oh boy Cerny what a beauty

Well we finally won against a very poor team. Not beating them at home and that last minute winner by Fenerbache has cost us .

Only highlight from a poor European season was that Cerny goal.He and v d Beek playing was great to see just need to bring Nouri in to the squad now.

nicely taken goal by Cerny to seal the points but it may be too little too late with Fenerbahce winning against Molde. Will need Celtic to beat Fenerbahce and a win over Molde to stay alive and I cannot see that happening. Need to go finish cooking Thanksgiving dinner so I'll be brief with the player ratings.

Cillessen (9) - stopped everything that he could get to
Dijks (7) - OK, but he's had better crosses
Riedewald (6.5) - a couple of bad positions but generally above average
van der Hoorn (4) - responsible for the goal and almost cost another in the 2nd half
Tete (5.5) - poorest game in a while, too many last ditch tackles for me
Gudelj (5.5) - generally just above average and nothing more
Klaassen (5.5) - some really bad touches that cost the team
Schöne (5) - poor match
Younes (7) - good until the last 10 minutes when he tried to do way too much
Milik (6) - nice goal but little else
Fischer (5.5) - should have had a goal but bad call by the linesman
Cerny (7.5) - really good speed and movement, nice goal
van de Beek (6.5) - played decently coming on for Schöne
Sanogo (5.5) - had a nice chance to do something with the ball on a couple of occasions

Quite a lucky win, I guess Celtic will feel hard done by. It seems like we won't qualify anyway but at least we avoided finishing last.

Fischer was evidently feeling unwell so that may reflect on his below average game. Sanogo is a joke only time he had the ball he shot across the goal and not at it.I doubt Sierhuis the A1 striker could perform worse than this clown,and Sierhuis is 17 and has no contract.Seriously Hendriks should be getting his chance at present as a sub.

Also I hope Donny v d Beek stays in the squad, far more talent and ability than Serero.
