Looks like our legendary #14 is walking out of town as a result of last week's Board meeting. Lots of turmoil in the front office but the league matches will go on. Ajax host Cambuur who lie in the relegation zone. No word yet on whether Bazoer's hamstring injury will keep him out of the match.

EDIT: Bazoer and el Ghazi will both miss this match. Klaassen, Riedewald and Sinkgraven all have knee complaints and will be evaluated later in the week.

No Bazoer, El Ghazi Sinkgraven and V Rhijn left out as 19th man.

Why on earth do we need 7 defenders and surely v d Beek should have been in the squad as an extra midfielder.Serero and Gudelj dont fill me with enthusiasm.Maybe we play with Gudelj and Klaassen with Fischer as a no 10.

Riedewald and Klaassen are both "healthy" enough to make the team for tomorrow's match. Cerny is the only Jong player called up. Useless Sanogo is fit now and will amaze us with his incompetence if he gets any match time. Sinkgraven & Bazoer are both out with knee problems; I haven't seen anything about the severity of their injuries. Sure it's Cambuur and they are second from bottom in the league but our midfield looks quite weak for this match.

EDIT: Just saw that FdB expects Bazoer and el Ghazi to be out for two more weeks. Sinkgraven has a hyperextended knee from a duel with Sanogo in training (another reason to send this guy back to Arsenal ASAP).

This is as quiet as the ground.The south side are boycotting the first half as they are pro Cruijff

4-1. Seems like the unrest in the boardroom isn't affecting the players too much right now (except the 3-4 total defensive lapses)

A fine 4th by Klaassen but we have not played very well but are 4-1 up.Defence looks a bit dodgy tonight but their defence thankfully has been worse.

Cambuur are a very poor side and it was dodgy defending that gave them a nice header on goal. Riedewald really should have been up to contest things. I'm sure we will see another 2-3 goals in the 2nd half.

Well the 5th finished it but we could have scored more. Cambuur had a very weak defence and we punished them
without looking at our best.

An easy victory against a very poor opponent. Despite the goals, Ajax were not very good on the ball with lots of passes that missed the mark and some poor defending that was never going to be punished. Maybe this type of training ground match is what the team needed to get a sense of confidence ahead of the Celtic match coming up on Thursday.

Player Ratings:

Cillessen (6) - had absolutely zero to do this evening as the ball was in the Cambuur half for great stretches of time
Dijks (7.5) - really fine game on offense and he should be disappointed that Milik failed to put away the best cross of the evening
Riedewald (6.5) - decent enough but he was at fault on the goal by hanging back
Veltman (7.5) - nice goal and some good passes forward
Tete (6.5) - a little sloppy at times on defense but maybe he knew he wouldn't get punished
Gudelj (6) - nice free kicks but that was about all
Klaassen (7) - a couple of good goals and some nice field play
Serero (6) - evening cut short by yet another leg injury
Younes (7.5) - some really nice moves to beat his man and create danger
Milik (5.5) - good goal but off sides too often and really botched the cross from Dijks
Fischer (5.5) - not much to write home about
Schöne (6) - decent and a shame that he couldn't score
Cerny (6) - nice he saw some action this evening, had a couple of good runs with the ball
Heitinga (5) - still the favorite of the supporters in Amsterdam but woefully slow these days

Off to Glasgow for the match that will decide whether Ajax still have a chance in Europe.

Dijks voted MOM at the ground ,I would agree and Younes and Veltman both had good games as per Orange's markings

Nice to see Cerny but surely Donny v d Beek should have been on the subs bench and come on instead of the slow Heitinga
