OK, first of the three Klassikers for this year. Mid-week Dutch cup game in Rotterdam. Will Klaassen, Milik, and el Ghazi be able to play in this one? Feyenoord are looking quite good this year and will be pushing hard for a win. Ajax are back in Rotterdam in 10 days following matches with Roda and Fenerbace!

Klaassen is out because of the head knock he took last Sunday. Milik and el Ghazi are both in the selection but who knows how much playing time they will get.

EDIT: Just saw the selection and Riedewald is being given a rest tomorrow. FdB says he wants to go with his strongest lineup but who will slot in on defense? Viergever is the lone left footed choice and the other option would be for Veltman to slide over and either Heitinga or van der Hoorn to partner him. It will be an interesting match that's for sure.

Normally I look forward to the Klassieker. I'm worried about the outcome of this one but I guess it'll be an entertaining match either way...

Not confident of winning this one ,mind a win over them in the league in a couple of weeks is more important.

A packed De Kuip is not going to be a pleasant place for us. F word have played well and build up some confidence (Kuyt on fire). I'm sure they will come hard on us in the first 10-15 minutes. Our kids need to be ready and man up in defense. Maybe van der Hoorn or Heitinga could be useful as F word have that nasty towering center forward Kramer.

Vilena should have gotten carded for the challenge on Bazoer.

Ajax had the better play and it took a couple of good saves by Vermeer to keep the score 0-0. I really get angry at how match officials are intimidated by the crowd in Rotterdam. Vilhena had two really bad challenges, either one should have gotten a Yellow card but it's not going to happen today.

I agree about the foul on Bazoer. I hope it isn't serious, even though he wants to continue. I think he should be subbed sooner than later.

We play very good and only bad choices in the final 3rd, keep us from scoring. I really like Van der Hoorn!! He may lack the technique of Riedewald, but he seems calmer and more... mature? Younes certainly has the skill, but it seems as if he is not communicating with the rest of the team

Entertaining contest and a decent half from us, I thought. Got into some good positions but just didn't make the right choice to exploit them fully.

So far it looks like bring vd Hoorn in to handle Kramer was a good choice, he hasn't had a sniff.

Wonder if we'll see el Ghazi in for Fischer around the 60' mark?

Ajax had the better of the half ,agree with Vilhena ,how did he not get booked.Hope we can silence the crowd by sticking the ball in their net.

Seriously? He is a train wreck waiting to happen. He almost turned the ball over with no cover in minute three of the match and had two soft passes that put Ajax players at a disadvantage in that they could not get the ball in time. His long balls are useless. the sooner he leaves the better I will feel.

I believe that one of Fisher's chances came from Mike's long ball. Isn't it so?

Anyway, he's in there to tag Kramer, not to make assists ;)

I've got a very poor stream and couldn't tell. If so, it was the only positive play from him.

Yep, attack is constantly giving the ball away which allows Feyenoord to keep building pressure. But they owe the universe some karmic debt for trying to score after Kramer stomped vd Hoorn... I'll take payment in the form of a Vilhena own goal

So we go out on an own goal as Veltman gets pulled down by Kuyt. Feyenoord showed their true stripes by not giving the ball back to Ajax after Veltman got elbowed by Kramer (no call of course) and Ajax sent the ball into touch. Other than the final play, defense held up pretty well. Tete did a more than adequate job on Elia. No player ratings today as I had a mediocre stream and missed parts of the game.
