2nd match up with the team from Rotterdam and it's looking like a must win contest as PSV don't look like they are going to drop points easily. Ajax will have to play much better than in the first game where they were outplayed all day long but were lucky enough to win it. Klaassen should be in the starting 11 following his withdrawal because of an upper thigh injury against Groningen. This is going to be one tough contest.

Interesting name you have there Over Pasanens Head. Maybe a story behind it? I assume it's a reference to the somewhat hazardous ex ajax defender Petri Pasanen. He is still playing by the way in fc Lahti in the finnish top flight.

Just recapped the highlights from the first classic. Bizarre game. Goal opportunities were something like 15-2 to fword with three crossbars inside the first ten minutes, but there was some kind of a voodoo magic in front of our goal and we escaped with the points. No magic tricks this time. We need to play some football.

Edit: I think it was our elimination in the CL quarter finals when Milan scored in the 92nd minute or something. Pasanen slipped and Inzaghi scored the winner?

Thanks, found it on youtube. Classic Pasanen and classic Insaghi I'm afraid. I think his bonehead plays in the national team are one of the reasons i'm going bald. Well, the sad truth is, that he is one the better defenders to come out of Finland (still no were near Hyypiä of course).

If you think back now, that was amazing squad we had back then. Many of them went off to have fine careers. If we could only hold on to our players there would be no stopping us.

As a Notts County/Ajax fan I have very fond memories of Aki Lahtinen playing for the Magpies in the early eighties...

Klaasen is out of the selection because of an abdominal wall injury. Boilesen is fit and FdB said he will start. I don't have a good feeling about this one!

I'm too old for an early grave! Actually I'm pretty positive and believe that Ajax will win every match they show up for.

A big game...they all are but Feyenoord in Amsterdam is always really big. The unsavory arson incident gives it an added dimension. Crazy stuff.

With PSV winning again today, Ajax needs a win to stay close. PSV has to slip up at some point....
Perhaps Ajax was already looking towards this game last weekend, after a very nice 1st half Groningen, the 2nd half was pedestrian. Some players said they we're tired from training during the break. I don't get it, they went into the break tired! They should have been rested!!

Klaassen and Riedewald are both out injured. Boilesen is available but not sure if he will start. We'll see how de Boer handles this. I'd guess Schone would play a more central role and maybe El Ghazi starting on the right side.

Feyenoord have a good team, so does Ajax. Should be exciting. I hope to be rewarded for getting up at 2:30 in the morning with a sweet victory.

Should be a good game, if Ajax can hold on to the likes of Klaassen, Van Rhijn and Veltman, then the future is bright. However Ajax would need to go very far in the Europa League to make it more exciting for these key players to stay

It's gonna take a miracle not to concede goal when van der horn is on the field.

Thanks to Cillessen, Bazoer, and Milik we have miraculously not conceded a goal. Other than Andersen everyone else cannot complete a single pass. If we have to watch Cillessen kick out to try to get the ball into the Feyenoord half I have no real hope that we will score. Maybe we will get lucky and keep the scoreline at 0-0. this is Ajax football at its worst!

Well, both coaches will have something to be happy about the way the first half went. Fnoord will be happy because they are kicking the shit out of us; Frank will be happy because in spite of getting the shit kicked out of us, we haven't conceded a goal. Anything can happen in the 2nd half -- but the passing has to improve by an order of magnitude if we have any hope of getting something.

Serero our best player so far, but we still losing the midfield. Kishna is useless today, El Ghazi has to replace him.

F Word the better team and we are very poor.Boilesen is clearly not match fit and Moisander is our best defender.

Well a tough first half for Ajax. Feyenoord is playing well and 0-0 at the half is as good as could be expected.....
A bit surprised to see Boilesen starting and he's having a difficult game so far. Hardly a shot on goal for Ajax.

Let's hope Sigthorrsson can get off the dime and get a goal for us! Of course someone will have to get the ball to him.
