Back into action on Thursday for a Beker Cup tie against Vitesse who drew today against Groningen and lie 12th in the table. Will FdB rest some of the starters? Vitesse clearly are not the team they were last season.

I'd like to see Riedewald starting, impresses each time he comes off the bench.

With Serero missing for 5 or 6 games after the winter break,due to African Nations Cup, Riedewald needs to play as he will likely be Serero's replacement.

I thought he was quite good today. He was right where he was supposed to be defensively and had a couple of nice interventions. He also figured out what to do offensively and finally he really has passion when he's on the pitch. I agree with what SPL said about Serero missing some matches coming up; Riedewald needs this start.

2 proper wingers great news. Hope to get a good stream but we have something else on tonight and I may miss the 2nd half.(cannot complain the first half of the cup v JOS is the only time I have missed any first team footy so far this season. Most games being on sky live has spoiled me.)

I agree with both of you....his attitude and vision seems most adult, but he must not be too eager. He can see what other people are supposed to be doing, very reminiscent of Glen Hoddle in his prime....Reidewald seems to have time as he KNOWS where the ball is!
OK, comparing him to an ex-England manager seems crude, but Hoddle in his hey day was magic. Reidewald's only 17..so what's he going to be like in 2-3 years, if we can keep him!!!

Nasty collision between Serero and Wallace. Wallace looks concussed and Serero needed some staples to close up a gash.

Perhaps Veltman is concussed as well...his defending has been horrible so far.

Whole lotta standing around going on. Vitesse are using three MFs to jam up the centre and sending a back over to press us against the sideline. It's so obvious, but we've got nothing down the middle and it's working for them EVERY TIME!

We didn't really show up for the first half did we? Couple of usual starters missing, but it shouldn't affect this much. We're playing at home and we haven't created even a half chance to score. De Boer won't be patting the guys at the back that's for sure.

Dumb play by Klaassen and it's now 0-2. Can't see us coming back now given we cannot even string together two passes in a row.

Vitessa is a better team than their league record indicates.

Two bad plays by Veltman and one goal conceded though he did start playing much better after those bonehead plays. Klaassen heads right to Labyad and I guess Boer got fooled by the shot. Riedewald did well other than one really bad give away. Rest of the team was quite poor, too static and poor passing. Only thing that was good were the 10 or so fouls on Serero. Opposing teams need to realize that he goes down at the simplest touch.

I think this one is over.

Utter rubbish the worst 45 mins so far this season, no attack , midfield is not there and Veltman and Klassen giving away 2 goals. Don't see us coming back from this.

We need a spark to get back in to the game. Maybe Schöne in? The next goal will be HUGE. 0-3 and it's pretty much over, 1-2 and we're right back in it.
