Final CL match for the season and a chance to advance to the Europa League knockout round with a win or a draw. FdB has injuries to deal with but a good offensive performance yesterday may be the spark to push this squad forward.

El Ghazi expected to be fit and Frank is considering Zivkovic.I would leave Bazoer in the squad even if Zimling is fit. As I have said a few times I cannot see any point to Zimling being at our club.Mind Riedewald is a better player than Bazoer.

When is Klaassen going to rest? Can he continue playing so many games? I hope so...

With Man City spending 200m on a youth academy I wonder when they will put 6 english teenagers into a first team squad in Europe!!

I hope Cruijff is right. I didn't think much of APOEL in the away game but they will probably dig in and hope for a 1–0 on the counter, i.e. the exact style that causes us the most problems.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to watch this one. I have a self-imposed policy that if I have an opportunity to play sport I can't stay home to watch it on the TV. Comes back to bite me sometimes but policy is policy. Hope for good news when I check the score later.

Which is why it's nice to be retired! I can get my athletics (walking and yoga) in before the match and then cheer on the Red & White!

I'm afraid the game has tragedy written all over it...

A penalty and put away by Schone for 1-0. We have looked the better team but only the one chance for Milik.

APOEL will have to take chances now so hope we can bury them.

A bit of luck for Schöne to skip pass his defender and it was a clear penalty. Kishna had a couple of good crosses but that was about all as Apoel seemed content to sit back and defend waiting for a turnover and a quick counter. Ajax defense did well to prevent any clear chances.

We have English announcers on the ESPN feed and they are questioning of the static midfield and lack of penetration by Ajax. Clearly they haven't seen many Ajax matches this year. Really funny comment was that the three stars on the shirt stand for the three straight European championships by the Cruyff teams of the early 1970s!!!

The 4th CL star probably did not fit over the head of Ajax!!

I think that Milik came down rather easily... Still UEFA owes us big time
