Home to Heerenveen this coming Saturday and it looks like we may miss Serero (injured a hamstring playing for South Africa) and Schöne who injured his knee against Cambuur and missed two Denmark international games.

I get a bit bored during the breaks for qualifiers so I'm looking forward to this one too. I see Andersen got an elbow to the face and lost several teeth so he must be in doubt for this game as well. Maybe a MF of Klaassen, Riedewald/Ziemling and ...?

Nice too that it's a mid-morning kick-off here, no having to set the alarm for this one.

An important game, of course, as Ajax is 4 pts behind PSV and will need to stay within striking distance. PSV plays away at Groningen on Sunday and don't think they will be to troubled there.

Heereveen has Mark Uth, who with 8 goals is 2nd leading scorer in the Eredivisie. Another player to watch is Daley Sinkgraven, who Ajax are said to be interested in. Only 19 yrs.
Perhaps a player that Ajax should be looking at, and could be useful, is van Aken. Plays on the left side of central defense and is 1.94 m! Also plays with the Dutch U21 team.

Well comon Ajax, give Amol, and the rest of us a fun match to watch.

Yessss I can imagine. I don't know in which part of New York you live, but in certain ways Amsterdam has more atmosphere. A lot of good opportunities to get drunk and get home safe with a ride on your bike.

If there is still some time left tomorrow afternoon we can get a few Sunday afternoon beers and walk on historic Ajax ground where we used to play memorial matches like these:

Some good news: red card for a H'veen player.... we may have a chance now.

Good news is that we are only down one goal when we should have conceded three and get a gift from Kevin Blom on a weak 2nd Yellow card to Slagveer.

Bad news is that we are fielding a bunch of worthless players who seem to have no clue at all about how to play football. Just terrible.

EDIT: Feel very bad for Amol who traveled to Amsterdam and is seeing horrible football!

Heerenveen have done their homework. We lack the creativity to break down a defense that is hanging low. We keep banging our head to the wall and that makes us vulnerable to a counter attack. The red card should give us the edge , but we are playing Heerenveen at home, we shouldn't need any help from the ref. We need to find a bigger gear.

We've moved the ball pretty well but our front three is really letting us down. Do you guys really rate Milik that highly?

Heerenveen scored what was basically a freak goal but that doesn't change the fact that our back 2 is looking super shaky against their counter attacks.

I don't think the red will change the flow of the play much because H'veen were sitting back anyway.

Very poor so far ,Veltman the worst of the defenders.Are our midfielders 100% fit,they don't look it .At least thanks to a rather unlucky red we have a chance.
