Last week's piss-poor performance against Cambuur was an unexpected disappointment. Twente lost, which was our luck, but Vitesse took advantage. And all of a sudden things look slightly more worrying. Six points clear of Vitesse... How comfortable is that really, with Twente at home and Vitesse away still ahead?

As for NAC away: we have an over-all very good record there, but it's never a walk in the park.

And so for the only time in my life I supported the lightbulbers. Really stressed wanting them to hold on to the 2-1. So Ajax go to Nac tomorrow and win and the title is basically over.

I watched the PSV/Vitesse game. Good result for Ajax, and a win at Breda will get Ajax back in great shape to win the Eredivisie yet again. Actually at the beginning of the season I thought PSV had such a great squad that they were sure to be the next champions. Not sure what happened, but they have played well of late...and are fun to watch.

But of course Ajax cannot have too many more slip ups like last weekend. I think it was Orange that said Ajax fans always complain, and it's true! Ajax has a game in hand now over it's closest rival and 6pts ahead. But...Ajax has been somewhat un-Ajax this season. One look at the table and we see that Ajax has only conceded 22 goals this season. Leads the Eredivisie, and very impressive but Ajax is known for it's attacking qualities not defensive one's. And I don't rate all of our defenders that high, but I do rate our goalkeeper very high!

NAC will play hard, isn't the best defense a good offense, or is it the other way around?

Time to step up and show how badly we want the title. My own feeling is that if we don't win this game -- or at least play well enough to have won it -- we don't deserve the title no matter how the season's end turns out.

Apart from AZ we have struggled through most games since the winter break. Basically we need only win 3 games and a couple of draws at most so lets start by grinding out a win today.

I predict another 2-1 and more nail bitting by all of us on here.

Twente are losing 1–0 at home to AZ (half time). Don't want to jinx us but i expect a win without too much trouble today which would put us 9 points clear of Vitesse and at least 16 ahead on GD...

To quote the late, great Al Davis, principal owner and manager of the Oakland Raiders in American Football, "JUST WIN BABY!"

What's the update? Anybody got an internet stream with the game?

I'm sick and tired of all these hamstring injuries!!!

De Jong off injured and Bergkamp up off the bench.

Until the last 5 mins all we created was the one chance where Siem went off. We did create 2 or 3 chances in those last few minutes but not great from us so far.

The last five minutes of the half were "almost" decent but what came before it was just terrible again. Too many tried to go one on three which is never going to work unless your name is Leo Messi. Poulsen was the best player on the pitch so you know how poor everyone else was. Poor Cillessen was put in danger at least four times! It's really pitiful that this team will still be in first place regardless of the result today. Really poor football.

0-0 at the half...hardly a decent shot at goal.

+1, and I would move Schöne back to midfield with him, taking off Klaassen who is doing little and put in de Sa on the right wing. We need players who go forwards not backwards.

Klaassen is just looking a bit jaded after a long first season(he was injured all last season).Still maintain that starting with 2 midfielders in the front 3 does not get goals as we are proving.
