Let's go for double digits in this one! Even though this game is like beating a handicapped child, this game can bring back some lost confidence.

I see V d Hart may keep as Vermeer is playing for Jong Ajax tonight .Schone and V Rhijn are doubtful and of the other RB 's Ligeon may or may not be fit and Tete is injured. It does not help having Jong Ajax playing tonight and they cannot take any youths as the A1 play tomorrow in a youth league game. Jong also have various players injured.

I wouldn't be surprised to see FdB go with a 3-4-3 in the cup tie or that Veltman plays right back with van der Hoorn in with Denswil. Also Acolatse is supposed to be called up for the cup match.

I too can see Veltman playing RB with V d Hoorn coming in . Just read Elton Acolatse has been called into the squad. A regular winger with the A1 youth.The other A1 winger Sheraldo Becker has already debuted with Jong Ajax recently.

This seems a good game to try out one of the youth wingers

Eredivisie or Hoofdklasse, This is business as usual. Plenty of possession and not much to show for it and then a horrible mistake by Denwill who is really starting to make this a trade mark.

3-1 at the half. Denswil had a really nice long pass to put Hoesen in on goal and de Jong got a goal off a spilled ball in the box after Fischer crossed it. Fischer and Andersen have flipped wings and Klaasen is in with de Jong as attacking midfielders. ASWH are not very good but it's good to see our midfielders actually moving around. Barring any more dumb plays this should be under control. Ligeon started but came off with an ankle injury. We need to avoid any more injuries.

Well those last 2goals should mean a comfortable win but thats our last 4 goals conceeded due to Denswil errors ie left Castaignos unmarked , then both goals v Celtic due to him and now the worst of the lot . Maybe when Moisander is fit Denswil will make way although he is a fine prospect . Fischer is enjoying himself and although the level not very high a good game today and maybe one or 2 more goals will do his confidence good.

Until he scored the 3rd I was going to ask what has de Jong done !

After all they are not used to play at this level (not that we played that well or moved the ball that quickly).We should see a couple of more goals in the seconde half, but yes, safety first. We don't want to see any more injuries in a game like this.

well not a great 2nd half apart from the goal. the likes of Siggy Serero de Jong did not look very much even against this level .

Fischer was MOM which was fair enough.

Comfortable win in the end. Most of the play was in the ASWH half and there probably should have been 2-3 more goals in this one. Fischer announced as MOTM and he did indeed play much better than in the past several games. He was more in control and looked to pass. Some defensive lapses that were not capitalized on by the opponents. Poulsen was good, mopping up anything that came his way. Denswil settled down and had a good second half as did Veltman both of whom moved forward with the ball.

Vitesse are up next and that will be more of challenge.

Not played well!!! I think that's an understatement!!! Just came in for the last twenty minutes and....guess what....THE FU*KING BALL WENT BACKWARDS THREE TIMES MORE THAN FORWARDS!!!!!

Why was I late? Because I was a soccer training session with a group of 10-12 yr olds here in Ag Nik.....their trainer agreed with me and we had a session for 20 minutes where the kids COULD NOT pass backwards.....MY GOD! WAS THAT AN IMPROVEMENT...KIDS LOOKED, KIDS USED THEIR SKILLS.....

FDB........dock their wages if they pass backwards....IT'S SO NEGATIVE!!!!!

With 4or 5 injuries our squad looks thin as 3 subs played last night for Jong and a 4th is an A1 youth.

Well, I hate to sound like I'm always whinging, but what I took from that match is that we need to work out how to attack against defensive teams, since we look impotent even against amateurs. The commentators on Dutch TV love to blame our "too low tempo". I don't think we're really capable of playing faster, but I'm not sure that's the only problem, either—for example at points of today's match, when we were trying to bring the ball forward, there was absolutely no-one in the centre of midfield to receive a pass, suggesting our attacking players aren't making the correct runs to receive the ball.

I know we always have a form problem in the first half, but I can't remember such a sustained period of poor football in any of the previous three seasons. I guess FdB has a job to do to turn it around this time.

@Tom - none of our midfielders has fast handling speed at all and they are also too static. Look at a player like Clasie at Feyenoord, the ball is at his foot and off to an attacking player just like that. Our players have problems handling the ball, looking around, and then deciding where the pass should go. It's no wonder that our two central defenders and the holding midfielder are going to set records for most passes received. I don't think FdB can do anything about this; the quality of the players is just too low. Klaassen did seem to be much more active than de Jong who just sits around and makes an occasional run towards the goal. Like him or not, Fischer is the only on who is strong on the ball of all the attackers. The team is going to have to win a lot of 1-0 matches this spring.

Well, it has been said a million times. We need a player like Eriksen. De Jong is no good and what I saw from Klaassen would suggest that he is clearly not the aswer either. Poor game with lots of aimless passes from him.

would agree with the last 3 posts.I did not have time last night to comment on the Jong but Lobotka looked ok but is not a playmaker, which is what we need, and the 17 year olds Bazoer and Riedewald will also develop into good players but there is nobody in our Jong squad at present who warrant getting into the first team.

Apart from Duarte we need a new midfield . Serero, Klaassen and deJong are not good enough and all were poor tonight.
