After the Utrecht home game (6 Oct) an unusually long break lies ahead for Ajax: no cup game, no Champions League game, a weekend of internationals. 13 days without an official game.

Ko's had a long day looking after the kids and missed a home game so we can forgive his minor error

I think the break comes to a good place as we looked kind of tired. Two big games (Twente and Celtic) coming up so we need the rest and a the chance to bring back the injured guys Moisander and de Jong
(I guess Bojan is out for a longer time).

Hope FdB can use this break to sort out the puzzle that is our team. There isn't a lot of players that can be sure of their place in the starting 11. In away it's good that there is competition for every place, but by now there should more sense to who is a starting player and in what position does each guy play. The inconsistent performances of a lot players doesn't make the task easy for FdB. I mean for example Siggy playes a good game sometimes, but in the next he can be useless, so should he be the starting center forward or not?

a win would be great and a draw ok in both games (taking in account that we win both teams at home).

As Siem de Jong has a small hamstring injury it's a good thing we have to wait two weeks for this one.

I will be present somewhere in the home section in Enschede. Let's win this one!

It's also a 2:45 afternoon start on Saturday here in the US and the wife insists on taking in a movie rather than have me watch Ajax football!!!

No Moisander,should be fit for Celtic and no Duarte ,he wont play v Celtic. Bojan back in Spain is quoted by Barca to be out for another 3 or 4weeks.

A really tough game tomorrow I would be happy enough to draw.

According to ajaxshowtime.com, Blind will play as a defensive midfielder against Twente (Boilesen on the left, Poulsen on the bench). Interesting to see how this will work out.

Interesting, well we've been talking about it for ages so I'm keen to see how he does.

These Saturday evening games are inconvenient aren't they... gonna miss the first 15 minutes or so, will be expecting at least a one goal lead when I switch on.

So our striker has the speed and quickness of a glacier and theirs does not. What's wrong with this picture (and it was rubbish defending as well by Denswil who couldn't figure out where Castaignos was). 1-0; can't see us scoring at this rate

poor first half ,Denswil's fault with the goal lack of marking . Our attack is non existant but then again we have a poor MF

I'm off to the movies and dinner with the wife. I'm sure I will have more fun than watching this bunch of inept footballers play. de Jong again just standing around, Serero not coming back to open up any space. Ajax are the easiest team in the world to defend against. Why can't FdB figure out what's going on and put the right players out there. I hope Sigthorrson gets subbed off for the second half, he is useless out there, can't press on defense and moves like a slug on offense.

I'm disgusted. Maybe ESPN3 will have a replay up when I get home this evening. I hope you guys can cheer us on to victory or at least a draw.

Not a single scoring chance. I guess we failed to make a shot on goal also. Someone should tell Fischer to stop shooting at every opportunity - he's very predictable with that.

De Jong... What a piece of shit. Couldn't handle one ball or get more than 3 passes right in the first 45

Suggest Schoner and Klassen come on for Anderson, too weak..(needs plying time in Reserves), and Serero...just weak! He appeared in the last minute!!!!

my comments about playing passes backwards in the last game would leave the players bankrupt!!! There's NO INVENTION!!!!

Well it looks to me like we're having our regular early-season form 'crisis' a little early this year. We do look terrible... the only positive I can think of is that all the other teams we've lost points against looked pretty bad too, so if (IF!) we start playing some football we should be able to dig ourselves out again.

Crazy mistake from the defender. Honestly, with Twente pinging long balls at Castaignos and us misplacing all our passes, this is looking like a second division match.

If only Ajax could have shown the same aggression in the first half!!!!

1-1...a fair result, but it should have been all 3 points as Twente, although they're top, are NOT a very strong team!!!! Let's show what we can do against the Celts!!!
