These two clubs played each other in a cup game in Deventer in March 2010, but it's the first league game between Ajax and Eagles since 27 March 1996. Nice one, I hope they'll fill up the away section.

I can inform you they will fill the away section with (at least) 1.600 fans. For this match there is no ticket sale for vak 416 for Ajax supporters. Go Ahead Eagles sold all these tickets.

I know i'm a bit optimistic, but can we hope for a draw in this match?

They didn't. Yesterday they gave back 550 tickets for section 416 to Ajax. These are in the ticket sale now for 14 euros each.

So I was only half watching the cup game during the week. What did people think of Duarte playing at DMF? He has said that he models his playing style on Edgar Davids...

Why the hell is he playing there? Just before we bought him, we saw him play as an attacking midfielder on Youtube, actually scoring goals! ....why change him now? isn't that a waste of money?

Teach Blind how to play there, he has got a modicum of sense....the flying Dane at left back and get some youngsters in midfield NOW......they can settle before Christmas and we might finish in the top half of the table!!!!

I'm not sure that Blind has the handling speed or the quickness for this this position or that he even wants to play there. The most promising holding midfielder is Riechedly Bazoer who is only 16 years old. Are you proposing that he be slotted in to the first team?

De Sa included in the squad for this one. De Boer is going with Cillessen for this game.

I agree, this position is a puzzle with our current squad. Poulsen is not the answer when we are trying to score goals, and anyway, de Boer is going to have to use someone out of position if Poulsen can only handle one full match per week. Schöne is OK against weaker teams when we don't need to defend so much, but remember his performance against PSV. Wonder who Frankie can try next?

^Well I think the only players who have played at the Jong Ajax level have been Bazoer, Sporkslede (but he's bounced back and forth between MF and central defense) and in the last match Enoh. Enoh is stuck with the team until January (but it isn't clear whether anyone will come in to buy him) and he has the most experience in the first team. Real question is whether you throw a 16 year old (Bazoer) into the mix at this level; I think Toby Alderwiereld may have been 17 when he played against Milan in the preseason Amsterdam tournament some years ago.

I'm interested in a dutch stream if you have one. I'm currently watching a spanish stream of mediocre quality (rivosport on rojadirecta).

Well, at least we haven't conceded a goal....game's being played at a very fast pace...just KNOW that the 2nd half's going to be hard work...as the commentator said at 40 mins..."with the pace now slowing, Ajax will need a Christian Eriksen to open up the Go Ahead defence.".....how true he is!!

Quite pleased with the effort of Poulsen, Fischer and Boilsen....no=one else stands out...just hope that the 2nd half isn't a damp sqid!!!

Ball handling is a bit slow and there is not enough quality in the final pass or move in front of goal, but still I think we created enough to be in the score board. No doubt, Go ahead is more happy with the score. Anything less than three points would be a huge dissapointment.

I don't think Bojan was on the pitch for even 5 minutes before pulling a hamstring. Looks like he'll be out for some time now. Good that we got lots of shots on goal; bad that we couldn't put anything into the net. Good that Poulsen cleared the ball off the line after a less than convincing display by Cillessen; bad that Poulsen completed more passes to opponents than team mates. Duarte is beginning to look like another Serero, too weak on the ball and easily dispossessed. I hope I'm wrong here. Fischer is looking active and Boilessen is a good complement. I would rather see de Jong at striker than Sigthorrson but neither player is particularly quick at getting a shot away.

I really hope that they can score against this team.

Is this the "armchair manager" speaking.....let's be a bit positive....the effort is much better than lately....and I know that you don't like Poulsen, but lay off him a bit...he's one of the better players...disagree about the passes, he's doing more running than most!!!!

Come on....the goal WILL come!!!!
