Really looking forward to this one, a nice game starting on Sunday afternoon. 14:30 CET. I've fixed 4 tickets on the Hoofdtribune and 3 on the Alkmaarderhout tribune. If one of you English speaking Ajax fans is over for a weekend or holiday period in the Netherlands you are welcome to join me.

Boilesen and Sana played in the Jupiter League match the other day and are dropped from tomorrows selection. Andersen and Ligeon take their place.

Why was Boilesen dropped??? That leaves us with only one left back in the team

They wanted Boilesen to get 90 mins of football so he played for Jong Ajax at Oss.Having played this weekend for Jong he cannot play for our first team under the rules so Ligeon is spare full back.

You cannot play for both the first team and Jong team in the same weekend.

Is Boilesen not full fit yet? After all this time???

He played 90 minutes for Jong Ajax on Friday. The league rules don't let them play in 2 full games within 3 days I think.

So why did they make Boilesen play for young Ajax, what is the reason, is what im trying to figure out

I would have guessed that it would have gone the other way around: that Schöne would have played at home against Roda and Poulsen now away agaist AZ as Schöne is more attacking and Poulsen more defensive, but I'm sure FdB knows what he's doing. I guess he wants more speed against AZ.

After his long injury I guess he still lacks real game rhythm. He need to get as much time on the field as possible, but the pace of Eredivisie might be too much for him still, so it's better to gradually bring him in trough Jupiler league games where he can play the full 90 minutes instead of coming in as a sub for Blind in a eredivisie game where he would get to play less.

In my opinion, Daley Blind should play as a defensive midfielder instead of Poulsen, so he can get used to it, and start games in that position in the CL.

Scrappy, physical game so far. Both teams are all over the shop, that tends not to suit us so much.

Looked like they were going to bundle one in like that all day. We're actually quite lucky to be 1–1, we haven't had much control over the match so far.

Vermeer maybe should have been able to punch it clear.

You could see Bojan loosing his cool. He was just beggin to get booked. We must keep our heads against their physical game.

Tight first half and some very poor goal keeping on the part of Vermeer. We still don't seem to have a way to get the ball into the attacking third with any consistency. I'm not convinced that Bojan was a good loan but it's only the second match of the season. Blind has done well on defense pretty much neutralizing Beerens. For the most part the team has withstood some very intense pressure from AZ. Second half will be really difficult and I suspect that perhaps Andersen comes on for Bojan. I sure wish Sigthorrson would step up.

Well taken free kick from Eriksen but thought Vermeer at fault as he punched the ball direct to the goalscorer.We will have to play better to win this.Sorry to see Bojan committing niggly fouls but then again he has been in Italy for 2 years!

One problem is that AZ are marking our attacking MFs very tightly. Siem especially is struggling to hold on to the ball in attacking positions. Actually I though Siggy was one of our only players who wasn't giving the ball away in that half.
