Ajax beware: 'shock effect' alert!

The 'shock effect' after sacking a manager never lasts, it's a short term thing, but weird things do happen in the first game, especially if it's at home, in a game in which the 'shocked' ones are the underdogs.

Since we are out of Europe and the cup there are at least no more mid week distractions, but no more excuses either. We have got to start taking care of business now.
With one game a week, we can stop rotating and resting players. So, no more Serero and Lukoki, please.

We wont be going to Enschede with much confidence that's for sure. FdB has to pull one hell of a motivational speech to turn this slump around.
I hope our guys feel they have something to prove, since we are better than we were against Steaua and AZ. Really hope for a good game. Can't afford to screw up anymore.

Nope. it was rocket from 33 metres

Possession 61-39 in our favor, for whatever that's worth.

A lot of determination in the 1st half which was good to see. Only a couple of minor blips on defense but the recovery was adequate to do the job. Dumb Yellow card taken by Moisander who left the official with no choice. I like the way we are pressing the ball, good strategy against a team that has trouble in possession. Still worried that our frontline players cannot find the back of the net but maybe one of them will score in the 2nd half.

We are looking surprisingly lovely. Schone looks better than those dudes who played wingers before.
