Can't seem to find the squad for this game but I know that Cuenca is not in the squad. Damn, I was kind of excited to see him play. He should be in physical condition to play, but just didn't get to Holland in time. He will start training on Monday, so he will probably make his debut at home against Roda. As I understand he is also eligible to play in the Europa league for us. I hope Siggy will be in the squad and Denswil should get a chance to play.

Good to see Denswil comes for Moisander, Denswil is highly rated so hope no mistakes today like Veltman last week.I am happy that Lukoki replaces Boerrigter .

On the subject of wingers VVV left winger Wildschut was released by us about 3 years ago and as a current Dutch U21 is rated so will be interesting to see how he plays.

Great ball from Eriksen, cool finish by Siem. Now VVV will have to come up the pitch more and that will give us more chances to counter.

Generally mediocre first half. Sleepwalking through the first 20 minutes and it looked like they were not ready for the poor pitch conditions, slow and bumpy. Maybe it was the Thursday cup match (Vitesse dropped all their points in the early match today). There were a couple of good combination plays. I liked the way Denswil rampaged up the middle in the latter stages of the half, this is the type of player he can be. Let's hope for a better second half.

very dull apart from the goal great ball by Eriksen and well taken by Siem. Denswil looking comfortable and near the end went through the field like a young Vertonghen

Fischer has been disappointing so far -- likewise Eriksen (aside from his pass for the goal, which was spot on) -- there are 11 of them out on the pitch, but up until the last 10 minutes they haven't been playing like the team we expect to see

Denswill looked quite confident though he wasn't under much pressure and made some nice runs. Utrecht is leading at Twente 2-0 after 45 mins and Twente is down to 10 men.

We are still no capable of playing 2 games a week properly.

I was just about to write that we need a second to kill the game. This should do, great shot.

After a mediocre display for most of the game Fischer comes up with a cracker of a goal.

World class tackle in the box by Denswil to save a sure goal.

It really would seem that we have that left center back position well covered with Moisander and Denswil, who is really having a fantastic game.

Some fine interplay down low for the 3-0 by Boerrigter -- now to enjoy the rest of the game.

well a very comfortable win with a well taken goal by Fischer which made the last 30 mins easy for us. The english commentator was praising Denswil at the end and saying FDB may have a selection problem . Have to say he looked very comfortable on the ball and a superb tackle inside his area earlier in the 2nd half.At 19 he looks a great prospect and I will put money on him taking Moisander's place during next season.

A great day with Vitesse and Twente losing and although early days I still put my money on PSV and us being the top 2 .Fword to finish 3rd although Utrecht having afine run at present.

Much better play in the second half and it ends up a comfortable 0-3 win over an opponent that just did not have enough ability to make a game of it. Defensively didn't have a lot to do down the stretch as the ball was almost always at the foot of an Ajax player. Nice job by Boerrigter controlling the difficult ball and slotting it into the net for the 3rd goal. de Jong was MOTM for me, really good on the ball today and made some really fine passes both as a striker and midfielder.

Player Ratings:

Vermeer (7) - had very little to do
Blind (6.5) - some dicey play in the first 20 minutes detracted from a pretty decent match
Denswil (7) - no mistakes and made a really good sliding challenge to deflect the ball away from what could have been a dangerous situation
Alderwiereld (7) - good match, little troubled on defense and went forward with purpose
van Rhijn (7) - not challenged at all on defense and his passing was good today
Poulsen (7) - had little to do defensively and his ball control was good
Schöne (6.5) - a couple of turnovers but generally decent play, nothing outstanding
Eriksen (7) - made both poor and great decisions on the ball today, outstanding pass to de Jong for the first goal
Fischer (7) - silent the whole first half and then that great strike to get the 2nd goal
de Jong (7.5) - best player on the pitch today, first goal was harder than it looked, made some nice combination passes as well
Lukoki (6.5) - decent enough but is he only one dimensional? he's not always going to beat his man down the wing and needs to recognize other players better
Sigthorsson (6) - very active coming on looking for a ball to put in
Boerrigter (6.5) - nicely taken goal
Hoesen (NR) - not on long enough to warrant a rating

Roda and Walwijk coming up in the league sandwiching a EL tie with Steaua Bucharest. The club is all alone in second place right now and needs to stay focused moving forward.

PSV's next three matches are: Vitesse (a), Utrecht (h), Feyenoord (a) They are likely not to get all nine points from these matches; trouble is they have this ridiculous goal difference because the run up the score against lower level teams. I would not want the season to come down to this.
