03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
CL groupstage, gameday 2.
Mourinho visited our game against Twente so they are taking us seriously, Time to grab a fat cat!!!
Madrid is under pressure after a bad season's start so they will want to win here. We've lost 4 games to them so let's end this streak and win now. Right?

Re: 03 Oct 2012 Ajax - Real Madrid
Madrid also have Barca next weekend at the Nou Camp so we might see some 2nd string players on Wednesday.

Strangely enough - same schedule as last year. They had Barca right after playing us.
Re: 03 Oct 2012 Ajax - Real Madrid
Albiol, Carvalho, Coentrao, Varane, Özil, Kaká, Higuain, Callejon - pretty strong 2nd string ( compared to starting 11 against Rayo last week). Doesn't help us a lot. Still i hope for a good performance and a pay-back for last year, when we should have gotten more.Orange14 schreef:Madrid also have Barca next weekend at the Nou Camp so we might see some 2nd string players on Wednesday.

Re: 03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
The first game for Real Madrid was against their main rival in this group: Man City. And they won it. Which means there's not much pressure on them. They will qualify for the next round, no problem. They have Barça coming up. I don't think they will be 100% focused.
Even then we'll normally lose, but you never know. Wednesday night the Ajax players will have to walk on that pitch anyway, so they might as well give it their best shot while they're out there. We'll see what happens.

Well still problems with sopcast, it has been going on for a week now.. Can not acces sopcast service.. Have you guys found a solution..?
Re: 03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
In my opinion Ajax should start something big in Denmark. Coöperation with a tv station to broadcast all there games and also start organizing special Ajax parties in nice bars in Copenhagen, Odense and other cities.
Denmark is a big market for us, so it is ridiculous that all the fans of our guys still have to browse internet streams.

Re: 03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
UEFA are doing a good job of shutting down all the Internet feeds of CL football. I can't get any SopCast channel to open and other streams are shut down pretty fast (trying to watch Juventus/Shaktar and am giving up). Unfortunately the US Fox Soccer Channel only shows the EPL team matches.FearNoArt schreef:Well still problems with sopcast, it has been going on for a week now.. Can not acces sopcast service.. Couldn´t see the cup match against utrecht and neither the match against twente..Orange14 schreef:UEFA are doing a good job of shutting down all the Internet feeds of CL football. This works fine for me. You only need to have some ad/spam blocking software there.

Re: 03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
Fox Soccer Channel (Sky in the UK) offers an Internet subscription that will get one all the CL matches and I assume a bunch of other stuff as well. Problem is you have to subscribe by the month which is not too appealing to me since it's about $20 and I would only get to see two Ajax matches that way. I honestly don't know why they don't allow one to buy individual matches. I would be happy to pay $5 to watch Ajax/Madrid and the other CL matches if they are not being carried in real time. Tomorrow Fox are broadcasting the match at 19:00 EDT which is just short of four hours after it finishes. Sure it's free but then I would miss commenting with the others on the Ajax USA forum. I'll see if I can pick up a stream somewhere.

Re: 03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
Can one of the Dutch members confirm: is it true that the match is webcast within the Netherlands free on NOS?
You can check here: based on the geolocation of your IP address (i.e. which country your internet service provider is in) it will tell you who is broadcasting the games (scroll down to the bottom where it says "Follow Online And On The Move"). If you click on the icon under "Brought to you by:" you will get a schedule for upcoming games webcast in your country. It worth checking, just in case they're showing the Ajax game.
For example, I'm in Germany so when I go there I get a ZDF logo with a link telling me that they're showing BVB–Man City tomorrow. If someone with a Dutch IP goes there, they get an NOS icon, which says they are broadcasting Ajax–Madrid, but it doesn't say if it's free or not.

Perhaps you can try to find a Dutch IP adress at this website:
http://www.ip-adress.com/proxy_list/
If you refresh a couple of times, you will find one. And then you just browse the internet via a proxy server and pretend you're from Holland. Enjoy the game!

Yes, and Spurs had not won at Old Trafford since 1989 until last week-end.afcajax73 schreef:every champions league game is live on sky if you have it.

It's football, and anything is possible, even if unlikely.
Keep the faith!

As long as legitimate goals are not disallowed we have a fighting chance!!!

Biggest question: will Ronaldo get his hair done at half time?
Re: 03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
Looks like we have a first team squad for the most part from Madrid.

Anyone watching on sky? We have two new players. Donald boerrigter and Derek Vermeer! Haha brilliant.
Re: 03 Oct 2012: Ajax - Real Madrid CF
Sorry to go on but Ronaldo really is a despicable human being. See him throw a tantrum because the ball was flat? How dare you provide me, the greatest footballer ever to walk the earth, with a flat ball!?
