Sulejmani probably out for this. Vertonghen suspended because of card accumulation I think. Other long term injured players probably still out except for maybe van der Wiel. Who the heck will Frank start next week?????

Have I got it right this time Vertonghen is out ! Greg is having problems with his groin so he may not be fit . Toby must not be rushed back as he could do his hamstring greater damage ie like Boilesen has to his.

So defence is Anita, a midfielder, Blind poor central defender , an apology for a full back. Ligeon and VRhijn will be fit and I believe Koppers will be fit ,should play for Jong tomorrow after a month out . Surely they are not going to play Veltman ,who has played 2or 3games after 12 months out .! Denswil may have been a candidate but if so would have been a sub today.

So if Greg is out its Anita, VRhijn, Blind and Koppers or Ligeon RB and Anita LB. Would take a draw from this game .

FdB has said that Denswil, Veltman, and Koppers will all be in the first team on Sunday. Sulejmani is still listed as possible.

A tough game even if everyone was fit .

Match may not take place because of the snow and cold temperatures.

last year I think it was the Fword game off on the morning because of heavy snow still falling and they could not clear the roads in time .2or 3 years ago another game was off because of the amount of snow on the roof of the Arena. As we are talking about a game in Holland and not England I would have confidence that they will clear the snow in time .

although I'm sure that turtle-speed Janssen will start tomorrow, I would go with Ebecilio, Sulejmani, and Ozbilitz up front with Eriksen, Lodeiro, and Enoh in the midfield. My thinking is to press the heck out of Utrecht to protect our back four and see what happens. High pressure with turnovers is the only way we win this match.

Got up this morning @ 4am and couldn't get up the hills around where I live to get to the airport. Went back to bed thinking the flight would be cancelled + trying to change my flight for the Roda game on the 4th March - the thieving whotsits wanted to charge me a further £133 so I exercised my rights and said no.

BTW my flight did take off 1.5 hours late

Well you're not missing much so far! Was planning to go to watch Cray Wands rhis afternoon but now that's off and I have to make do with Ajax on the micro-screen.......

Typical of Ajax this year -- I was wondering if it would happen before the half ended.

Starts with a bad clearance from Van Rhijn. Then Blind has 2 people to mark on the cross, but could've played them offside I think. Vermeer does his job and softly passes the ball to the onrushing attacker.

Same old story, lots of possession in the back half and no quickness in the midfield to get the ball into the front third. To be fair, Utrecht seem to be dropping everyone behind the ball but Ebecilio insists on dribbling into a two man trap and there is no midfielder to pass to. Janssen is standing around in the middle, not moving at all and Eriksen seems to float around aimlessly. Even if we can get the ball to de Jong there won't be any options at all. Back four seem to be holding up pretty well. As for Vermeer, as I noted in my previous post we should dress van der Sar for this match. Just no excuse for that howler. I suspect that FdB's streak of no defeats in the Arena is in serious jeopardy today.
