Given the Classico match with Barca is on the weekend, what kind of lineup will 'The Special One' put out on the field? I think CR7 & Ozil will not start (and CR7 may not even be on the match day roster) but who knows about the rest of the starters. It's going to be a tough match in any event and given our depleted strike force maybe a 0-0 draw is the best to hope for. That being said we did go to Milan last year and beat them so who knows!!

will be interesting to see who we have as Aissati has now injured an ankle but V d Wiel could be fit . A draw would be nice especially if we line up with 6 midfielders again!!
Mind El Ham is evidently playing for Jong Ajax tomorrow so who knows he may even be brought back into the squad although I am not holding my breath.

Ozbiliz played up front in the middle during some of the preseason but i don't know if he's fully fit yet. He might be a better selection than Lodeiro

As well as he always plays; decent going forward a bit clueless on defense. Wasn't punished for his errors because of the inferior opposition.

A draw would be beyond my wildest dreams . Just hoping to progress , even if it means playing anti-football at times.

English Translation (Google) of F-Side website article :

The goalkeeper, defender and attacker almost all games played this season for Real and under Mourinho can therefore use a short break. Casillas, Ramos and Ronaldo stay in Madrid back in AS: So they take no position on the bench at Real, already sure of first place in the group and only the earnings premium and honor plays.

Mourinho had certainly already know that Kaka will play against Ajax and possibly go Jese Rodríguez, a great talent from our own training, to the Netherlands to the great work to smell. Furthermore, players like Jose Callejon, Hamit Altintop and Esteban Granero probably playing minutes to make. Real play Wednesday against Ajax and three days later at home against Barcelona.

This http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satellite/ ... hampio.htm scares me a little. Madrid are two goals away from beating their own record of most goals in the first round. They are also only 5 goals away from breaking the record for most goals by any team in the first round, currently in the hands of Manchester United.

Yep, it's confirmed. Toby is out. De Boer quoted saying that Blind or Anita should be options for CB position. Van Rhjin and Bulykin are in the squad, not Aissati (plus the long term injured Sigthorsson, De Jong, Boerrigter, Oojer, Boilesen)

Kenneth Vermeer
Jasper Cillessen
Gregory van der Wiel
Jan Vertonghen
Vurnon Anita
Eyong Enoh
Miralem Sulejmani
Christian Eriksen
Lorenzo Ebecilio
Theo Janssen
Daley Blind
Nicolás Lodeiro
Dmitry Bulykin
Aras Özbiliz
Thulani Serero
Davy Klaassen
Ruben Ligeon
Ricardo van Rhijn

Alderweireld will miss the game. But I have not read that Sulejmani would not play.

Found this on Twitter. Translated from dutch :

Real Madrid appear Wednesday in the final Champions League match against Ajax certainly not in its strongest setting. Coach Jose Mourinho leaves for "technical reasons" behind seven customer base in the Spanish capital: Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas, Pepe, Sami Khedira and Lassana Diarra. Ricardo Carvalho i. ..

It cut off with the last few words, but believe it ends with" Carvalho is injured".

Correct, Carvallo has been hurt for the past month and wouldn't have played anyway. I really wish he left Ozil behind as well but maybe he wants to give him 45 minutes of play. We'll see what happens with our makeshift team tomorrow! BTW, there is an article in de Telegraaf stating that FdB is going to take a close look at the training methods because of all the muscle injuries. Maybe they will get the players doing Yoga to stretch and strengthen (it's worked for me)!

Here is the posted Madrid squad list:

Goalkeepers: Adan, Tomas Mejias, Pacheco
Defenders: Arbeloa, Coentrao, Varane, Albiol, Mendes
Midfielders:Kaká, Ozil, Di Maria, Sahin, Altintop, Callejon, Granero, Xabi Alonso
Forwards:Higuain, Benzema, Jese
Still a lot of fire power!

I'm kind of sceard for tommorow. How come we have so much injured players? Is something wrong with the preseason preparation or what? If we pick a point, it will be in the paradise for at least 3 days :blub.gif: I i'll get drunk, offcourse :ajaxsmiley.gif:

the injuries are not just happening to the first team as several Jong players have picked up injuries and even our senior A1 youth team have had lots of injuries.

I am even more worried about our defence tomorrow than usual.

I'd say it will end 1-1. Janssen will score.
