Well...Ooijer has been injured for a few weeks and I think this is the first time van Rhijn has been included in the squad. (I think )

VRhijn came on in the cup game v Noordwijk as asub but you are right this is his first time in the league.

Great shot from just out of the box by Mickey. Lodeiro's tap in on the rebound goes off the keeper for a corner.

Excelsior down to 10 men now. At first I thought it too harsh but seeing the replay it was a deserved Red. Studs up tackle from behind gets you Red everytime.

Terrible lunging tackle on Mickey.....straight red. 11 on 10 for us now.

It was a horrible tackle, and definite red, but for once I actually believe it was an accident...

Young Ligeon coming on for Enoh.....Enoh made two bad passes tonight which led to two seriously dangerous counters. Besides those he played really well tonight.

Think FDB is just letting Ligeon get some experience and Enoh some rest for the game against RM.

1) the tackling was one of those that can harm a career
2) enoh needs to improve his passing big time, it could be 2 goals form a better opponent

Unfotunately Ligeon gets beaten bad by Maaten who heads a nice cross in, 2-1 now

Embarrassing. We'd better get another 5 in the second half to make up for that

ligeon shouldnt be there, plus the fact that the other guy was at least a head taller than him

Decent first half in terms of creating space out on the field. Still hampered by the presence of Janssen who just cannot move out there. We should not have conceded the goal near the end of the half. Sloppy play and it's too bad that Ligeon got beat. He just wasn't as big as the man he was marking.

We had Toby + Anita and Ligeon marking against 2 tall forwards. All the crosser had to do was to avoid Toby's side and then it was just an easy header. Vertonghen should've let someone else peel off to block the cross and gone to the middle.

The header was straight at Vermeer who flapped at it and let it in.

Frustrating letting them back in the game but hope we can beat 10 men

I thought it was a foul on Ligeon at first but bad marking and poor positioning by Vermeer... Oh well, need to step it up again in the second half, i'd like to see Janssen off for Klaassen with Lodeiro moving left and Aissati in midfield.

Yup - the cross should've been picked up by Vermeer. Ebecilio for Aissati.
