Tuned in about the 25 minute mark. Not much positive to report. Current lineup that finished the half: Steks, Anita, Alderweireld, Oojier, Blind; Janssen, Sneijder, Serrero; Sulejmani, Ozbiliz, Ebecillio. Nurnberg had most of the possession and Stekelenberg had to make about a half dozen saves. We really are not playing with a holding midfield with this formation and there really hasn't been much control in the midfield. Does FdB think that Ozbiliz will be our version of Leo Messi (we really don't have much height with this strike force)? It seems he is being given a run at the striker position in the pre-season. I assume there will be some substitutions in the second half.

2-0 to Nurnberg. Not much to say good or bad since it is a pre-season friendly and Ajax looked to be playing at half speed whereas Nurnberg seemed to be a little more pacy. Both goals were a result of defensive lapses. Serrero didn't mark well enough on a short corner (but it was a great strike by Mak that beat Stekelenberg) and too many players caught up field on the 2nd which was a good counter break by Nurnberg. Rits and Sulejemani should have finished their chances as both had open shots. Boilesen, van der Wiel, Eriksen and Sigthorsson all had their first appearances coming on at about the 70 minute mark.

not a great game, I only tend to watch competitive games .This was clearly a half pace friendly for Ajax and just gave a work out to some returning players. Lukoki in his brief time looked a good crosser of the ball.
