This will be a tough mission, obviously. The Russian league has now started, Spartak will be better than they were in Amsterdam. It will be freezing cold. Artificial pitch... It doesn't look good, you'd say, but I don't know... Something tells me this ain't over yet.

FWIW Bodog gives us the same odds to win as Spartak. That gives a little confidence, I suppose.

De Zeeuw has been horrible and he needs to be subbed out. I'd like to see Siem move into midfield and Cvitanich into the striker role.

After some decent passing we lose possession, get caught on the counter. Verhoeven just misses tipping it wide. 2-0. I suspect this tie is over.

I had high hopes for this match but we've started sloppy and been punished. I, like Orange suspect this is over, I can't see us making a comeback of Inter Milan proportions... Just as we looked to be getting a hold in the game.

We are overplaying Ebicilio and Eriksen. They are too young to perform consistantly. And bring on Cvitanich.

Maybe I am the only one still watching, who knows. Some good things did happen in the first half. Verhoeven is having a decent match, making the saves and not giving the ball away. Eriksen has been pretty dynamic in the midfield and we did have a good spell of possession when everyone was making quick passes. Blind has done well against some tough opposition on his wing. Ebecilio is active and beating his man. Some bad things have also happened. Sulejmani seems to have left his game at passport control. Vertonghen missed an easy clearance. de Zeeuw has completely lost his touch on the ball. I'm not complaining about the second goal as it was a decent counter from Spartak.

I guess we will see Cvtinich in the second half. We still need to look for the quick pass; too many times we get trapped against two players.

game is over but de Zeeuw should be taken off he is poor, put Siem back into his proper midfield position and get Cvitanich on. I really do not like seeing us not playing a striker.

We are a very young inexperienced team and look like it tonight .
