It's funny: Twente, PSV and Ajax were better last season than they are this season.

Twente and PSV aren't impressive at all. Last season's Ajax would have been top of the league by now. Unfortunately we're this season's Ajax: a team that collapses in Utrecht and can't hold on to a 0-2 lead at Roda.

This season, the champions will have a particularly low number of points in the end.

But in European competitions, Dutch clubs are doing all right : probably 3 in the last 16 of the European League.

Winning in Eindhoven...when was the last time we did that? (against PSV) I know PSV have been off colour this season, but we've beem just as unpredicatably awful. it's crunch time in February...maybe we'll be in the race, maybe we'll start looking towards next season and rebuilding...again.

Unfortunately I have a pretty good idea which of the two options the team are gonna present to us.

Ha! Well said indeed. I predict an 'unucky' loss, maybe a stupid penalty decision or something...

Maybe Philips will have difficulties to recover from their return game against Lille. That could increase our chances.

I see where PSV have had 10 opponents sent off with Red Cards so far this season. A couple of years ago we were in a similar position and opponents were alledging a conspiracy; could the same thing be happening this season?

even if we were in the same position... we didnt end up winning the title!!

I think it was last season, and it was a record (in 34 games, not in 24!).

Must-win for Ajax. But these days Ajax goes to Eindhoven counting on a loss. That needs to change. If it does, we have a good shot. (but I'll only believe it when I see it).

we have only won in Eindhoven twice in the last 20 years!

I cannot see the point in having 3 sub defenders Ooijer plus either Blind/Anita is sufficent.
