Anybody know the squad?

The squad of 19 is the 18 from Roda plus Greg V d Wiel back.

I was thinking we must have the smallest first team squad of any top team at present. Ebecilio can be called a first teamer but Ozbiliz is still a Jong player as he plays every game for the Jong and is mainly on the first team bench due to lack of forwards ie Cvitanich and El Ham had been missing .

So that makes us with just 18 .
5 surplus players no longer considered ,Donald is stuck back as a Jong player and Tainio,if he returns from NY, Atouba , Sno and Graafland are not considered and I doubt any of them will even play for the Jong again let alone see the first team bench .

We have 3 injured Lodeiro when fit would mean 19 but Vermeer if fit would mean Verhoeven back as a surplus making an odd Jong appearance . Finally if Silva had not been injured I think he too would have been a non considered spare joining Donald with an odd Jong appearance.

We cannot afford too many injuries to key players .(Vermeer a sub goalie and Lodeiro who on joining last year was only used a sub are not key players)

do you suspect anything like I do? an upset?

I want a fight and a win. We need to show some character and will at last.

A win here would do wonders for our team's mentality which quite frankly is pretty weak these days.

I think that this is the big problem with this team.

Enoh is the only holding midfielder; de Jong drops back to the midfield with Ebecilio on the left and El Hamdaoui in the striker position. Very attack minded.

Some incredibly poor defending saved only by Stekelenberg!

Very precarious one goal lead. Terrible play on defense by both of our fullbacks. Blind is good going forward but gosh is he exposing the flank. We had about 6-7 great minutes of good ball control in the midfield and then started making dumb passes again. Good that they flipped Ebecilio and Sulejmani as Sulejmani wasn't staying wide. We really need a second goal to make this comfortable since we cannot rely on Stekelenberg to make many more great saves.

The amount of chances we allow make me scary. However we will have our own opportunities to score some more goals. I don't like the way El Ham is playing - we can't build our attacks through him, at good days he is a good finisher... But he tends to slow down our attacking moves.

We should be really happy with the result considering how they played most of the time, especially Blind was poor,allowed them 4 great chances, lucky for us Stekelenburg is on form.
Played better after Mickey and Ebecilio switched, like Orange said. Hope for a better second half

0-2 on a well taken shot by Eriksen. Need to stiffen the defense now!

Damn - just came back from a meeting and now we're up 3-0!?! WTF

0-3 full time. The penalty miss was clearly the defining moment of the match. We finally woke up and started playing pretty darn good attacking football. 3 away goals is huge but with our team nothing is for certain.

That was nice after all. Such games are important for our young players.

I wonder if that clown (their coach) is still happy that they have been paired with us

It seemed to me that we out muscled them in the tackle and then used the ball well. A very good win indeed
