Milan have 'issues' at the moment. Coach Massimiliano Allegri has a very distinctive playing system with three up front, and the Milanese players are struggling to come to terms with it.

Likewise, at his previous club Cagliari, he lost the first five games straight. Untypically, the Cagliari board failed to sack him (they normally sack three coaches before breakfast on an average day) and let him have his head. Whereupon he took the Sardinians to their best ever Serie A finish two season in a row.

So he's a good coach but it typically takes a while before his players settle into his system, so this may not be a bad time to play Milan.

(...and yes I know I said that about the Real Madrid game as well, but I think that we lost that game by less than eight goals shows that I was correct in my assertion.)

The punters seem to agree. Ajax is currently at +135 to win. The draw is +200 and Milan is +210.

1. be star struck
2. start hoofing long balls all the time
3. play a very high line on defense and let their midfielders lob balls over Vertonghen/Alderweireld for Robinho and Zlatan to run on to.

Looks like they've definitely come here for a draw and maybe win on a cheeky counter-attack.

Would love to see us find some good possession today like we did against Twente on the weekend. Enoh will be the key to disrupting their counter attacks and regaining possession.

We need to press them when they have possesion.

Haven't watched a lot Milan this year, so don't the kind of form which Pirlo is in right now. But, he used to be their ball distributor and sits pretty deep. So, De Jong would probably have to take him out. Enoh should be on Seedorf.

Since they aren't playing Pato(injury) and Ronaldinho(form), their attacks would be coming through the center a lot. That will ideally free up VD Wiel or Anita to join in attack.

Come on boys - we REALLY NEED this win.

I am fearful of a Robinho Zlatan duo up front, thats some quality there. Rest of the team is ok, we just have to be very smart
