For what it's worth, Bodog and the like have installed us as pretty substantial favorites. That should be at least some cause for optimism.

I prefer Vertonghen at left back and Ooijer with his experience at centre back not only for this game but in general. I think it will fill gaping holes in the Ajax defense

I feel Anita has been very strong lately, he should stay as left back.

He is suspended for the match because of a second yellow card received in the first match. Cards carry through the qualifying rounds and he got one against PAOK Salonika.

Shame, Anita is the best defensive player on the squad.

Has to be the man with the great left foot , Jan at left back with Ooijer or Oleguer with Toby

Would rather see Ooijer than Oleguer as long as there is no question about his fitness. Slide Vertonghen in at LB . Would rather Vertonghen then Urby.

Good news but I hope one of the main TV channels in the US carries the match. NVS channels don't seem to work on Sopcast any longer.

Just checked, and Fox Soccer Channel shows it at 5pm EST on Wednesday, so it's not live but will at least be on here.

I dont think this is correct - have they not just nearly sold out the areas of ArenA which were opened for this game. Initially tickets only for the bottom tiers of the ArenA were on sale apart from vak 424 and 425 where 410 stand. Then they started selling tickets for VAK 426 to VAK 430.

I have season card in 422 and it was never option to buy tickets for there.

So probably a crowd of around 35,000 with the whole of the upper tier running the length of the pitch not opened

No, it's like I stated, completely sold out. After our match in Kiev there was a huge run on tickets. Some reserved tickets were not taken, so now there are still some tickets available for 104/106 (150 euro's a ticket ).

I'm a little angry that Fox Soccer Channel will be doing the match on a delayed basis so I'll probably watch on an Internet feed. We just need to go out aggressive and get a goal and then move on. Good to see that there will be a full house (or close to one).

REALLY? I'm so surprised and delighted it's on TV at all. I can't remember the last time I watched Ajax on a real TV. And thanks to the magic of DVR, I can watch it in the evening with my Ajax-brainwashed kids. :-)

OK, Ajax, just do the job today. We shouldn't take DK lightly.

There are some rumours about Milevskiy playing from the start, which seems a bit odd since he wasn't even on the bench in the last league game. This makes sense if only Dynamo wants Shevchenko to move to the right wing to oppose our leftback replacing Anita.

Dynamo knows how to play after 1-1 home draw. They eliminated Valencia playing second game 2-2 coming up from 2 goals deficite.

This situation is a bit tricky, we will need to score at least 3 to feel safe. We must keep clean sheet in the first 15-20 minutes to avoid all out defense tactics from DK.

Generally DK has a lot problems in all the lines. We must capitalize on their defence/midfield problems and score some goals.

And we wil!!

I don't really like Vertonghen at LB. He was LB in both games against Juventus last year. He lets his man(Amauri) go and score 2 free headers.

Prefer Vertonghen as left back instead of Urby . I am feeling nervous about the game as it is that important we win . We have to get into the CL . Defeat tonight will mean financial pressure on the club and what happens if next Monday or Tuesday we get a big offer for Suarez!! V d Wiel going would not be the end of the world as we could pick up a decent right back on a free for a year but replace Suarez at 24 hours !! No way .

Just win and put us out our misery.
