This is a truly beautiful bill. Anderlecht vs Ajax... It sounds like a true classic, but the two sides never played each other in official UEFA competition.

I'm really high on this match. The two most historic clubs from two neighbor countrys clashing in a european night game....amazing its the first time we will face them but should be a great game.

I was not impressed by Anderlecht in Zagreb, yet they managed to win. If that was the best they can play this should be an easy one.

Agree with you Ko. Anderlecht is not from a big league, but they always have some nice talents walking around. The kind of talents you will see at topclubs in a few years, but in the current form, they can hurt Ajax. Because lets be honest: Ajax has not been really tested yet.

It's going to be a though game and Ajax must convert the chances they will get.

Expected line-up: Stekelenburg; Van der Wiel, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Emanuelson; Kennedy, De Zeeuw, Enoh, Aissati; Suarez, Pantelic.

Marko Pantelic is generally expected to play from the start for the first time. I can understand that: he was good against ADO Den Haag and seems ready for it now.

Oh I don't really look at it that way. We need more than one real number 9. Cvitanich and Pantelic are the only real centre forwards we have. They'll both get playing time. And they both know how to score a goal. Fair chance they will both see action in Brussels.

Agreed, just like they both saw the pitch against Ado, both seem to be kind of streaky so i guess we will just ride with the one that catches fire first. I think the real question should be ¿ Is this the end of Sulejmani ? I think the only things that saves him is his youth....and the fact that we spent too much money on him to just give up.

The end of Sulejmani began once he came to Ajax -_-

Very true.

Martin Jol is being very patient and Ajax keep expressing their faith in him, but let's face it: had he been a 27 year-old who had cost us 2.3 million euros, he would have been dumped already.

That also answers your question: no, it won't be the end of Sulejmani's career at Ajax - precisely for that reason.

I think he'll improve and pick up form at some point, and I'm sure he'll then be a useful player, but I don't think he'll ever be the great leader and creative 'architect' of Ajax-1. Which makes him a bad buy: a 16 million euro player must be more than just good, but I don't think he'll ever be great and set the Eredivisie on fire. He might end up being 'good', but we are never going to sell him for more than what we paid for him.

It's been a bad investment, that's already a sure thing, I'm afraid.
