so=so first half and we looked to have better possession in the second part. Very inconsistent officiating and Enoh needs to come off as his recklessness is likely to draw a second yellow card. ESPN 360 has the Spanish announcers for the first time this season and it's great to hear Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooool! Let's hope we hear it several more times in the second half.

Couldnt make game today cos of stomach virus baahhhhh so having to watch game on box. Should have been 1 down, their goal wasnt offside, very marginal.

But great strike from De Zeeuw and unlucky not to have had a couple more.

Refereeing has been very poor throughout game - giving silly unwarranted bookings, not playing advantage on several occassions and breaking game up too much.

Hopefully get few more in 2nd half

Not the most aesthetically pleasing of games. ADO's game plan is obviously to foul the nearest player anytime a situation starts to look dangerous for them.

Last week and this week -- getting Rommedahl into the game seems to have made the difference.

I liked the way Aisatti retaliated for the foul on Enoh -- if the referee isn't going to protect you you have to protect youself -- make the bastards think twice about dangerous tackles.

Nice volley by de Jong and a fair result at 3-0. We could have had a couple of more with better finishing but now have another clean sheet which will build on our goal differential. The top three teams will probably play tight football the rest of the way and it may come down to differential at the end.

3 0 final score, De Jong with volley at end after some outrageous misses.

Really like the look of our starting 11 now, bar maybe swapping Kennedy for Rommendahl but can swap either over to play on wing.

Special mention to De Zeeuw who seems to be the player we have been missing since Galasek left. Aappears to cover whole pitch, can tackle, can pass and finally today get on goal sheet. Defence has held up well since PSV game but one of reasons I think for this is that midfield is giving ball away less and also they help out in defence.

All in all, professional performance

Totally agree with this. I was against the DeZeeuw purchase but I was clearly wrong. He's helped our midfield out a lot. These are the kinds of games we used to lose or draw in the past few years, but Jol seems to have these guys focused all the time in ways they were not the last few years.

Not pretty, but good in the end. Could have easily had 6 goals if Suarez didn't have such bad luck today.

I'm getting more and more impressed with Vertonghen/Alderweireld in the center of defense, there just seem to be fewer glaring mistakes overall.

I still continue to not be impressed by Rommedahl, I'll still take Kennedy over him. It had to be about his 10th cross (the one that De Jong scored) that finally find an Ajax player instead of an ADO player.

Have to agree, Rommendahl was certainly far more effective in the 2nd half than Kennedy was in 1st half. Got himself into a number of good postions and certainly had more than one cross that found an Ajax team mate - one I particularly remember was the one across face of goal that both De Zeeuw and Suarez contrived to miss from all of 2 foot from an open goal.

Neither Kennedy nor Rommendahl is going to be the long term solution for Ajax and would love Ajax to find a proper wide player who can cross the ball but in meantime having 2 of them competing directly against each other for this one position seems to work as they both realise one poor game or half and they will be swapped for the other. Competiton for a postion is no bad thing.

I didn't see any footage, but what about ADO's goal? Good call from the ref?

If you're referring to the offside call, it was a mistake. Replays showed that the ADO player was onside.

I think it would actually have turned into a very tough afternoon if ADO had taken the lead. Ajax didn't convince at all in the first half. They started to play well after De Zeeuw's opening goal (fantastic strike, btw). An early Den Haag goal would have been a big problem, I think.

Oh well - it was an easy win at the end of the day.
