After that: Heracles away, a 16:30 CET kick-off, on the artificial pitch of Polman Stadium.

maybe put a slightly weaker team out midweek, give some youth the experience of euro football and first team football more to the point.

we looked tired at the weekend, mainly a cause of the midweek game i think, but never the less we need two wins for confidence if nothing else

PS if we sell Oleguer and do not sign another defender the only other defenders we have other than those above are Silva and Ogararu!!!!!!!!!!!

very sad indeed. the last option we have if we don't buy anyone is playing vd wiel in the middle of defence like a few years ago, and keeping both silva and ogararu for the right flank. but it's only a fantasy of mine, cause I don't know what to think anymore.

worst half of football that I've seen from this team in several years. Poor passing and no control of the midfield. I hope Steks can keep a clean sheet so we can at least pick up one point as it's hard to see where a goal is going to come from with the current bunch on the field. Can't believe the match official is not calling Heracles for a couple of dives. I think all of our opponents are going to bait Suarez so he loses his temper. I think he will pick up at least one Red card this season if not more because of this.

im wondering is there a new law against us keeping shots and crosses down out of the clouds?

a few observations:

1 - aissati has to come out, he is adding nothing and not even taking the correct spaces

2 - our spacing going forward in attack is absolutely abysmal... pick one formation and do that!

3 - heracles are being very very poor sportsman to get this 0-0 today, very poor

4 - van der wiel is very good coming forward when we are moving at pace; when we are in the "half court offense" he is pointless

5 - this would really be a great time for urby to realize that he is more talented than this AND he is a senior member of this side now AND that these two things mean that he needs to find his mojo and be a leader on the field

I've only watched the second half so far, but it's as if Heracles is playing with ten men. I can't imagine them withstanding this onslaught.
