After the friendly against Ajax Cape Town @ De Toekomst Ajax travel to De Lutte for their traditional training camp. The first of three friendlies during that training camp in the eastern Netherlands is against WKE, Hoofdklasse outfit from Emmen.

By the way: WKE stands for Woonwagen Kamp Emmen, which means 'Trailer Camp Emmen'. The club was founded by the people from the local trailer camp on the outskirts of the town!

Anyway - 'Trailer Trash' versus Ajax on July 7th, kick-off 19:30 CET...

WKE are the Over-All Dutch Amateur Champions of 2009.

They played Rijnsburgse Boys in the final, and what an unbelievable one it was... Rijnsburgse Boys won the home leg (1-0) and until the 88th minute they were 0-2 up in the return leg in Emmen, at Grote Geert sports ground. But somehow WKE managed to score three goals in the last two minutes (plus stoppage time). 3-2 was the final score.

The 'away goals' rule doesn't apply in this amateur final, so 30 minutes of extra time were played. WKE scored (4-2), Rijnsburgse Boys scored also (4-3), so... penalty shoot-out. WKE missed twice, but Rijnsburgse Boys failed to take the lead and eventually lost. WKE clinched the Over-All Amateur Title in front of their own fans and the whole place went mental.

Cool story.

Anyway, on July 7th Ajax are up against Holland's best amateur side.

Amazing. Rijnsburg had three chances to take the lead in the shoot-out. Unbelievable.

Fair chance that WKE are a better football team than FC Emmen, the professional club from the same town, by the way.

I see 27 players taken to de Lutte. Gabri injured . Other first teamers not going Ogarau and Martina
both training with the reserves. Luque Nk he is not with the reserves training . Romendahl has been included and the only 2 Jong Ajax going are Bizot and Zeegelaar.

I thought Zeegelaar had a pretty decent half over the weekend. I can't remember, is he under contract?

Zeegelaar is under contract to June 2011.
