First training session of the new season: Monday 22 June.

First friendly kickabout: at DWV in Amsterdam-North. Nice one. They're no longer in the Hoofdklasse (I think they went down to the First Class), but this is a very nice friendly fixture.

Also scheduled: Ajax Amsterdam vs Ajax Cape Town (July 4th). In Amsterdam. Cool.

But first: summer break... See you later!

Well, okay, not Co but Martin Jol will have to take care of that...

Anyway, kick-off time is 15:30 CET and DWV are in the First Class of Sunday amateur football and in their league they will play Amsterdam derbies against Blauw Wit and JOS/Watergraafsmeer this season. Tickets for DWV vs Ajax are now available from the Ajax Supporters Desk.

Sergio Padt and Christian Supusepa, both Jong Ajax are training with the firsts this week . With the Jong not returning to training for another week these 2 lads came back from holiday. Padt is the only fit goalie with Steks not yet in full training due to Internationals and Vermeer not fit.Supusepa is the only real left back in training .Hope both get a run out .

Well after Ko and myself finally got there after taking a scenic detour round the delights of North Amsterdam we watched Ajax win 10-1.

Nice little ground have to say, although very humid afternoon. Ajax were leading 2-1 at half time if memory serves me correctly before going on a goal rout in the 2nd half.

Best goal was scored by the best player on the pitch Evander Sno, yes you did read that correctly. Snos goal was a delightful solo effort and if he puts in as much effort in the remainder of pre-season then he may force himself into Jols squad. I hope the Eur 15m pizza boy from Serbia applies himself in the same manner when he returns to pre-season training.

All in all a very pleasant afternoon.

Given how far off the target he was during last season, hitting the crossbar would have been an amazing acheivment. Was he playing in midfield or up front?

Evander Sno...what a goal! De Jong's wasnt bad either. Nice work boys though with all due respect DWV arent exactly the kind of standard we're going to be playing, I'd be impressed if Sno could do that against some of AZ, Twente or PSV's defenders
